I wanted to report back that I got my new diff installed last week. It is amazing. Also got the solid diff bushings. I already had solid subframe bushings, so the whole rear end is very stout. There is a minor increase in noise with all the solid bushings, but it is not bad at all.

you have probably been asked this a hundred times so sorry in advance lol, but was wondering what gear oil to use for your diff, I bought the non metal plate one, I do drag race my car once in awhile, I have searched the forums and seen lots of different things from 75w90-75w140 and then people using 75w90ns and some say to use only ns, thought I would ask since its your product mine will be installed in the next month once my friends shop is done, I don't track the car, maybe one day but drag race at sacramento raceway yes. I just wanted to get something from my local auto store, I checked one day and saw both redline and royal purple, or go the torco route and order online.

We recommend taking it easy (relatively speaking!) for the first 500 miles, then change out the fluid again.

You'll need to order around 3-4 litres, which will cover the break-in and the subsequent oil change.

Very interested in your helical lsd for my e92 335i AT. Im gonna have a shop handle the install but want to get all the parts together first.

Plan to get the core, new bearings, axle seals and maybe the diff bushings. What is the shim kit for and is it absolutely necessary?

The shims are required to set the back-lash correctly on the diff. If your installer knows how to make his own shims, then the kit is not necessary. Otherwise, it is highly recommended.
