You have had your own experiences with BMW, so I'd value your input on BMW's more than my neighbor that is also a trusted friend, he owns a Honda and Toyota. You have owned them, and are planning to own more, so I presume they must meet your criteria for purchase. If reliability an durability wasn't part of your purchase criteria, please clarify.

among others, I might. I went to a tesla forum to study those. I also came here before I got my bimmer. My research at both sites steered my decision. I was also shopping an Alpina B7, and that S63 engine and some of the known problems it has was a turnoff. The M760's N74 has very few fundamental issues, if any. The Tesla model S has several flaws that I'm not willing to live with.

Are Toyota owners wrong about their opinions about Toyota reliability because it's all they have ever bought?

Their low IQ, and flawed decision making caused by low IQ. Are you familiar with the definition of idiot?
So, I wrote up a nice long response. But then I realized, wait a second. You still haven't shown any evidence of BMW's reputation for longevity. Quit trying to talk in circles and let's see it

Of course you did but it's not even my claim. What kind of circle is that you are trying to allege here? A Red herring?

how about this one :

For every e90 over 200k miles there are a hundred that didn’t even make it to 120k though.

I dont have a source for that claim, you may dismiss it

Now, back to the evidence of BMW's reputation for longevity. Where is it?

You're going up a dead end street with this. There is an old saying that a Porsche is only as good as the sum of its parts and that applies to all vehicles, if you run your older car on a wing and a prayer without scheduled servicing you only have yourself to blame if it should break down.

I was gonna say, pretty sure this has already been posted. And ive explained pretty sufficiently why it’s not acceptable evidence

Apparently trolling = calling out illogical arguments

An incorrect one. My bad, I didn’t realize child-level arguments were too advanced for you, should I try toddler? I have one so I’m pretty comfortable at that level as well

Another tale of EV Woe

Man forced to ditch Ford EV truck during family road trip to Chicago: ‘biggest scam of modern times’

Dalbir Bala, who lives in the Winnipeg area, bought a Ford F-150 Lightning EV in January for $115,000 Canadian dollars (around $85,000 U.S. dollars), plus tax. Ford said the Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) on the vehicle is $77,495 U.S. dollars.

The vehicle compelled him to install two chargers – one at work and one at home – for $10,000. To accommodate the charger, he had to upgrade his home’s electric panel for $6,000.

In all, Bala spent more than $130,000 – plus tax.

Fast charging stations – which only charge EV’s up to 90% – cost more than gas for the same mileage. On the family’s first stop in Fargo, North Dakota, it took two hours and $56 to charge his vehicle from 10% to 90%. The charge was good for another 215 miles.

Bala ultimately had the vehicle towed to a Ford dealership in Elk River and rented a regular gasoline-powered vehicle to complete the family’s trip to Chicago.

Agreed but I think the word is getting out, no matter how hard the government and their pet news media try to do the "Nothing to see here, move along". The damage we are doing to the environment and our economies and to individual personal wealth in the process really pisses me off. Sadly no one will be held accountable.

The EV makers can hype 80% range recovery in 25 minutes all they want, but 80% of 250 miles is less than half the range a typic ICE car has on a full 16-gallon tank. Add on if someone can have at-home charging that's a $2,500 install hit for a level-2 charger, which is nearly 2 years of free travel in an ICE.

But the industry lure is the magic solid-state 900-mile battery with a 15-minute recharge capability. Governments and industry (because they are forced to make EV by Government) will keep hanging the ion-carrot in front of the public, who they think are stupid.
And what percentage of consumers never buys new because of cost. I've only ever bought 1 new car, I'd rather someone else pay the depreciation but I suspect a lot of folks simply can't afford new. And given the issues with EV I suspect they wouldn't buy a used EV either. I think the market for used ICE will be interesting moving forward as more people hand onto them rather than being forced into an EV.

Have you been to the grocery store lately? The number of idiots all masked up leaves me little hope for intelligence. If I was Tesla I would go to the grocery stores and hand out sales flyers to all the masked idiots. Here's your sign.

Bala told FOX Business he believes the government needs to do more to "provide consumers with the right information."

"People have to make the right choices. I want to tell everybody to read my story," he said. "Do your research before even thinking about it and make a wiser choice."

"The actual thing they promised is not even close. Not even 50%. And once you buy it, you're stuck with it and you have to carry huge losses to get rid of that. And nobody is there to help you."
It's amazing how little research some people do when choosing a vehicle, whether it's an EV or regular ICE.

It sounds like all the research this guy did was to read the Ford brochure.
