I didn't have much reason to clean them either. I'm the second owner of the car though, so it gave me peace of mind to see that the previous owner was keeping up with the oil changes. Not much work at all if you take it slow and have a 10mm socket it's really easy. I just cleaned with MAF cleaner (spray it in the holes till it runs clear) then reused that on the MAF sensor.

The air filter was another story... glad I did that change. Previous owner had an aftermarket filter that was super dirty, plus the box had a whole bunch of sand in it. All 3 of these jobs are very easy for a casual DIY person.

Have fun.

This looks great!! What did it cost you to get the roof wrapped? That's something that I want to get done and would rather not tackle the DIY....

Thanks for the info, appreciate it. Yeah I am a bit crazy on the oil change interval so likely ok. Based on your description it should be pretty easy. Thanks.

Rerouted my ipod connection from the glove box to the center console.

Cleaned and conditioned the leather, but this times it seems to have left a milky haze in spots on the black leather...

Installed my new M3 shadow line/Titan interior trim. Stoked. Great color. Just need to figure out the center console sole. Wrapped in silver carbon fiber fabric. I have black/shadow line-ish carbon fiber fabric (not vinyl) and think I'll rewrap to that for a more consistent color palette.

And the fouled plugs:

#1 injector seemed to be in ok shape, but who knows what kind of longevity it has at 66k miles. If anyone needs an -09 let me know.

Isn't this an issue with the valve cover gasket? Seems like a really common issue. Cylinders 2 and 3 were leaking for me when i replaced the spark plugs.

Got rid of the hard brake booster vacuum line and used 3/8" silicon line to run it under the intake manifold, back to the firewall and then to the connection at the booster. Also moved my vacuum canisters from their temporary location to their permanent spot until I go ST. Took about an hour or so.

I bet his valve cover is cracked as there is clearly oil on injectors and spark plugs from cylinder 2 and 3.

Possibly, though I had mine replaced a couple years ago and I'm sure they did not clean up the oil as well as they claimed.

That being said, a cracked cover is a possibility, but wouldn't there be oil higher up on the injector as well? Note: I am not a proficient or educated mechanic, so please explain why oil would only start to collect below the decoupler?

Wouldn't that happen if his VCG is going? My plugs looked like that when I changed them, replaced the VCG because it was past due... no more leaking. But of coarse I made sure I had no cracks in the valve cover.

I'll have to look over the cover high and low to check for cracks. Otherwise I'll assume it's just the gasket (surprise surprise, a gasket went bad on this motor).
