Mine are perfectly fine, and I doubt the guy will change suppliers since it seems the lightbulbs and various led lights make up most of his business. On the other hand, his supplier may have changed their supplier, etc etc. But all in all, for 18 bucks, mine seem to be real.

In terms of real vs fake, I believe the filaments are just fake so they burn out randomly or really fast.
