Getting tired of hunting already... Haha
That's a high price if you ask me. I got my Bluewater/beige car with 117K miles, pretty loaded up, for $8000. It wasn't all that dirty, but definitely had a handful of small issues, including an oil leak. Luckily, all of the issues were remedied for simple little things, none of the fixes cost me more than a few dollars. I replaced the iDrive and HVAC controllers due to scratches, but those were the only more pricey repairs ($200 for both). This was also a no accident, clean local FL car always maintained at my local dealer. I think you should definitely be down in the $8000 range.

Unfortunately an automatic, but I plan to remedy that at some point.
Going to build an M Sport clone with it and add the 3 stage IM & tune.
Looking forward to doing the work.
First order of business is the M Sport steering wheel retrofit. Anyone selling one?
Good for you! I caved on the interior for a car that was otherwise perfect and am REALLY happy. Your color combo is to die for, congrats. I recently finished the M-sport wheel conversion, including the LCI paddles, its a great upgrade. Congrats on the new car!

Is yours 6MT for that price? Would definitely prefer one with more options rather than retrofitting myself (sport seats, comfort access if I feel ambitious..., Stereo since base sound in LCI is supposed to be poor). Always cheaper to find one with what you want.

Oh sorry, no, forgot to mention mine was an automatic. I know that's a big difference, but still easier to swap a trans than it is to try and retrofit all those other options.

Yeah the swap didnt look too bad which surprised me. Basically the same as doing it on my e30. Probably the easiest way to get a low mileage with options and a stick though.

6MT commands a ~50% premium, not really an apples to apples comparison imho. Yes a trans swap can be done but few are actually executing on one. The auto isn’t that bad, I enjoy mine plenty although not as much as my 6MT.

For now I drive a 91 Civic Wagon RT4WD that my father and I restored. I got my eye on a 2002 Tacoma 4x4 with a 5 speed.

So you're saying my car would've been worth $12K with a manual? I don't know about that, that's a big number for a car that was otherwise an 8/10. I could see maybe 25%, but I think 50% is a bit overzealous. Then again, I didn't care for a manual, I'm plenty happy with the automatic. I'll be looking to DCT swap though. THAT is the ideal transmission for me.

Yes. And you overpaid for your automatic.

I don't think I did. I got a very well sorted car with reasonable mileage, spec'd exactly how I wanted it with the exception of interior color.

Nothing wrong with which transmission folks prefer but 6MTs are commanding significantly more. I think your example would be around $12k if it was a manual. I'd love an N55 DCT wagon, personally!

Here are a couple of comparable examples that sold earlier this year:
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2011-bmw-328-37/ 2011 6MT 127k that sold for $15k
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2011-bmw-328-37/ 2011 6MT 76k that sold for $18k

I agree, I think you're in range. If it was pre-LCI, I'd say it was a slight over pay.

Don't worry Jupiter. If you're happy that is all that matters! Apparently bsmoov feels they are some kind of E91 authority over everyone in this thread, basing E91 market values off of insurance values; judging the value of your car (has he seen it? driven it?); informing you that full interior swaps are "easy" ; and telling everyone else what colors are "wack" or not. Not a subjective thing or anything.

You know, if you've owned four E91s, you are granted all these powers by the BMW gods!

bsmoov, respectfully, please do us all a favor and keep your personal opinions to yourself and stick to posting cars up for sale to help those looking.

Ummmm...I don't have any authority over anything in this thread and just trying to help out. You on the other hand posting a "unicorn" which looks and sounds like a beater e91 for 13K is absurd and it's ok for you to be mad at me for calling you out.

Truth is no one is paying out of pocket for an agreed value or haggerty specialized insurance for an automatic and 8-14 year old bmw wagon. On the other hand if you have a unicorn/low mileage/factory mtech package/6MT manual transmission, one might opt in that direction, but still some don't. If you don't, don't be surprised at the truth when insurance gives you the bad news that your car isn't what you think it's worth.

I may have been a bit harsh saying he overpaid, but he's wrong saying the other 6MT e91 was overpriced without know anything about the value either, right?

8k for an automatic e91 with beige interior may seem like an ok price. Being dirty, having an oil leak, and having to replace interior knobs or whatever due was what made me say he overpaid. In California LCI automatic e91s can be found all day for 7.5k or less and they sit unsold for quite a while. Pre LCI e91 automatics can be found for 6k or less easily. Just an observation and i know this thread is for cars being sold and people helping each other out, NOT TO GET RIPPED OFF. Or slapping some sense into people who might be overpaying.

Interior swaps are easy. I have done plenty. If you want to laugh at something, call Jupiter out for saying a transmission swap is easier than an interior swap lol

1.) I didn't know interior swaps required coding, engine support, specialized tools, replacement parts as an transmission swap does lol.

2.) Someone said they didn't like silver and it was a bad color that he wished BMW never produced. I agreed with his opinion because I also think it's "wack." I never said, don't buy it because that color is wack. He gave and opinion and I agreed. Big difference.

3.) A fellow e91 buyer was asking for input and I gave it. A member on here is looking for opinions and you're telling me to keep my opinions to myself. Apparently you think you have authority over this thread or something.

I could really care less about what you think of the car I posted a link to. Someone here might be looking and want to talk to the owner. Maybe they go and look at it and work out a deal. Good for them! At least that owner was upfront about the car's needs. I'd rather that be the case than driving a bunch of hours to find out a car is misrepresented. We've all been there.

I take issue with your next few posts that are negative towards others cars/exterior colors/transaction prices, etc. Keep it positive! We are all in this together. You have no idea what others are going through in their search and what is important to them. Some people love swapping engines, so that won't stop them from paying what they want for a car that is perfect for what they want to do with it. It's not your place to offer your opinion on if they overpaid or not. You are in your own shoes, not theirs. So, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it! (Yes, I will heed my own advice)

Now, let's get back to helping people find E91s!

I agree. Let's move forward and help others. I was wrong for saying he overpaid, as long as he's happy that's all that matters. I was just a little annoyed that he said the other car was overpriced and comparing apples or oranges. He honestly didn't know so I apologize for that.

An interior swap might be easier from a mechanical stand point but you're forgetting that it's not exactly easy to find an e91 parts car and then what are the chances it will have the interior you desire?

Buy 2 E91s. One with the exterior you want, one with the interior. Swap to get your desired combo and sell the 'leftover' ugly ducking car for peanuts
