Other than having Cobb making my car remind me of a VTEC Honda at 4k rpms, its nice. Map 7 on the jb4 compared to Cobb Stage 2+ aggressive is nearly identical IMO, but I won't know for sure until I take it to PBIR tonite. Like I said, I don't care for my ET's as I know my times will be horrible thanks to my tires (RFT's = garbage), but I do want to see what it traps. I am hoping for at least 110mph tonite in 70 degree weather whereas I went 114mph in colder 50 degree weather with jb4 on map 7 using 93/E85.

Seen a older piece about din@n stage 1? indicating not a huge change. stock configured n54, ideally.

^^ im running cobb stage1 agg. i havnt noticed a difference per say in fuel economy, and by that i mean i do tent to drive a little bit faster then i did and take off a bit quicker, but i think its completely worth it. youll be happy with cobb.

has anyone safely run the stage1 sport map in CA? I know the site mentions to run stage1 standard map in CA due to crappy gas here. Will running the sport tune retard the timing to adjust for fuel? my 335i is stock otherwise

My car was valet in mode for 2 days and it got incredible mileage. I am told that the actual mileage is better than what the dash says, but the dash was showing incredible numbers. I was surprised that, even under light throttle, the turbo is adding flow and reducing the vacuum. In valet mode, I believe that all turbo boost is bypassed.

In valet mode the WG are held open and no boost is developed, you can verify this by live monitoring boost on the AP. One thing i noticed about valet is the exhaust was much louder and had much more pronounced drone.

I got my chrome trim vinyl wrapped last week so I loaded up the valet map for the first time. First thing I noticed when picking the car up was the exhauast was much louder. Then when I got on the freeway I wanted to see what happens when you hit the 4k rpm limiter. Only way I can describe it was similar to getting a fuel cut on my old STI. Its like your motor just ran in to a brick wall mid pull. I wish they just put a rev limiter at 4k, but oh well.

I have to admit, the motor is really smooooth, and the sound is pretty cool too. It gives the car a different "feel". Almost wish I could temporarily remove the rev limiter and see how the engine pulls N/A.

No word on dyno #s yet though

I think the Cobb&RB combo is going to provide the performance most people are looking for a big single to provide.

Dzenno mentioned running 21PSI on RB's to 6500 rpm with good AFR's so, that's good in terms of the earlier failures that may have been caused by the DME fueling limit Cobb has now eliminated.

I think RB mentioned somewhere in the 23 PSI range we would probably see diminishing power returns due to the stock housings. Will be nice to see that proven out, and what the real limit is on pump/meth or race/meth.

I agree, a large single will find it's place with a crowd that has different HP goals for their car than a twin upgrade that is a quick bolt on for more power with much lower total costs.

I would love to be able to hit 500whp on pump/meth safely.

If they can now provide safe AFRs at well 20psi then that leads to more power potential. But yes, you are correct in that doesn't necessarily mean more power.
