The dollar and cents of moving from a 335i to M3 doesn't make sense for me. I'd consider a Porsche if I was looking though.

Having driven the IS a lot, I would see why you would want to get out of that to something more visceral. The IS350 is fast, but I don't like the floaty steering that it has compared to a BMW. The Audi S5 is sexy and it might make sense for someone who likes Lexus to go to an Audi as they are a bit more refined/luxurious than a BMW but not as much of a "driver's car" IMHO.

Nabil, I suspect if your 335i was already a manual you would've of went for the M3.

If I was in the market for a new car, I would personally consider the M3 near the top of my list, but not if I already had a 335i.
