yea it is now I'm thinking of getting some springs to lower my car. but I wanna install it myself. I looked at the dyi and there's just so much shit I don't know about / I might rub / I'll use my aero lip as a plow in the winter. plus if some else does it, it'll be a lil less than getting dp's.

I could see myself in these wheels again as if they were brand new. Now I just need to see if it really keeps the brake dust off better.
How long are you leaving the jetseal on for? I assume you stripped the car down with a good wash, then clayed it. I have heard a couple of different ideas on this. I put on my first coat and let it cure for 12 hours. Wiped it off, then put on another coat, let this sit for 24 hours. Just an FYI. What wax did you pick up?

I used the wheel wax and i like it a lot. THis weekend, i cleaned up the new rims. Wash with p21s, JetSeal x12 hours, JetSeal x 24 hours, Wheel Wax x 2. Maybe overkill but figured what the hell, the wheels are off, might as well take advantage of it. Reason for the double coats of each was bascially in case I missed any spots. Plus, not sure how much the prevoius owner of these sealed and/or waxed them!

Yep, used CG Wash & Clear and then clayed the car prior to the jetseal. Leaving the Jetseal on for 12 hours. Next weekend I will wash and seal again.

SOunds good. Maybe you should try and put on another application of the Jetseal this weekend instead of waiting until next. Reason being, you do not want to seal in any crap. I am afraid by driving all week you will pcik some of this up. Even though a good wash will help, clay (as you know) really gets the car clean. Is the CG wash and clear the only soap you have? What about waxing?

That is my concern about the springs...plowing snow with my aero lip!! We will see. Picked some of these up hopefully I will have them installed before the meet.

Nah, I have some Mothers Gold, ONR, and the CGWC as far as the soap goes. I can't let the car sit another 12 hours today thought after sealing it because I don't have a garage at my house. Not going to let it sit outside with that stuff on it. Thought Ben did three seals over three weeks?

Do I need to Wax it again next week after washing with the ONR. Will that effect the jetseal that is already on the car? Got some P21S Concours Carnauba Wax to put on it after the next seal.

So, Being the indecisive one I am, I have decided that as cool as the Canon XTi is, It really isn't for me and I want some cash for the new tail lights I want. I have the XTi and a 28-135mm lens if anyone is interested.

Not sure if Ben did this or not. Would be suprised if he did though. You typically want to seal the car after claying. By sealing it next week, you run the risk of sealing in any crap you picked up throughout the week. Plus, if your car sits outside, this might be worse. One coat of Jetseal is a great start. I would def apply a wax over the jetseal. Wax just adds a little more protection to the car. It will also bring out the shine. A wax will usually last anywhere from 4-6 weeks depending on how much you wash the car. You will be able to tell if you need to wax it when you dry. If it seems a little "rough" when drying, throw on another coat of wax. If you have a wax, i would apply it today before you drive. Should not take that long. The P21S is a decent wax and should give you a "wet" look.

Oh, i am sure you know this but the CG Wash & Clear should only be used when you plan on stripping the jetseal/wax. You will only be using this a few times a year. I need to get some of this before I do this to my car.

Yep, got it just to strip everything when I wash and seal twice a year.

YOu don't like it or is it too much of a camera for you? Been debating this myself. Love that camera but not sure i would use it enough to justify the purchase. Seems like way more of a camera for me just to take shots of my car!! PM me a price. My sister is thinking about getting one of these.

Don't know that it is quite to much of a camera, I just have other things I want right now instead of this and I still have a good point and shoot.

Sounds good. Going to run to the store. I want to put on my summer tires so bad right now!! Never know the midwest weather though. Going to try this DIY sometime soon. I really like what carlos did with his hubs but do not have the time or facilities to do it. This seems like a decent alternative.

You dont need to seal back to back. Anything more than one coat of sealant is overkill anyway. Ill explain later theyre making me turn off my phone
