Kevin do you guys have a way of cutting like 1/8 inch aluminum sheeting, if so can I give you the dimensions of the plate and you cut it out for me? I can do the rest as far as fitting it, I may need to shave it a lil, but getting it close to the right size may be a problem for me as I have no saw that will cut aluminum nicely, no dremal or anything.

Ipod dock in my ashtray, matter of fact if you have an E90 in the shop you can get the demensions yourself.

i have plenty of scrap at the shop i was gonna throw out, its ducting metal for hvac units, i have to see how thick it is

sweet, anything close is fine. I will paint it black and figure out how to mount it. I will see about getting the proper holes cut in it once I get it from you. I will need a round hole to bring the auxilary wire thru and the another one to bring the charging dock up thru. After I bring the auxilary line up thru I will put a rubber gromet in there to keeo it from falling back down thru.
