Just use a sawzall after the bumper is off. So quick. If you know what you are doing the whole job should take around an hour. Taking your time 1.5-2H tops.
Which IC are you going with?

Clayton, I did the install without removing the bumper. Wasn't bad. Island Road helped with the shroud trimming. Just a heavier IC to have to hold up and try and bolt to the car. |

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=426084 <--Which bolts are you talking about? The metal to plastic bumper bracket? I just remove the whole inner fender liner. It takes a bit more time but it makes it much easier. I wouldn't install an IC on an n54 without removing the bumper cover. It just makes the install & cutting so easy, especially as a sawzall is the only tool to use. People write up DIYs saying it took them an hour of slowly cutting with a dremel or shears or some other tool they should not be using. Z, I will agree, if it took me as long as you are saying I would just do it from below like in the HPF video.

This bet would generally just be considering a donation to Torgus. He will take it off in 30 minutes or less. I literally just did it myself in his garage this weekend. Equally as fast so long as you have the tools you need and the wheels come off.

I'm installing my FMIC this weekend, bumper is definitely coming off. I've taken my bumper off before and there was not a significant amount of work involved, I would say we took it off and reinstalled within 30-40 minutes.
Maybe it's just 2x easier with two people?

pneumatic & electric power tools makes the job significantly quicker. DIY: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=426084 "DIY's usually take me 2x as long as suggested, but this is super-easy. It took me less than 15 minutes to remove the bumper (including taking pictures)" Please let me know how much you would like to wager Daddy needs a new suspension.

Jeez, Jon, you really are in sales, aren't you? I don't actually care enough about your bumper to bet real money.
Car up in the air on stands, wheels off, liners and bottom shield off, pulling washer nozzles, bumper off... yeah I don't see it happening that quickly without power tools. At least it took me longer the first time around no power tools, and not trying to put my bumper on the floor. But I've seen your paint, so that might be an improvement. |

The cutting is very simple, I use an osculating saw cuts through the plastic like butta took me all of 5min. As for taking off the bumper I have never done it before only heard Z cursing when doing his. Why take it off when it's not needed but than again if your trying to cut with a dremel that's a pia, just get the right tools. Plus I have used the osculating saw on so many different occasions, comes in handy for everything.

The array you are sitting under has the inverters my company makes/sells. Where is the carport at?
So I never watched past F&F tokyo drift. I tried watching FF7 on the plane yesterday. Holy shit it is BAD. Like unwatchable. Hopefully I pick up the E92 today...

Like i'm a 1/4 through 7, maybe I will stop and start on 3. Why the F would a secret mil ops use vehicles there? Send in planes if the road is so remote. They keep adding on more and more action stars. It's almost like the expendables line up. Car is looking clean Z.

So tonight it took me ~ <3 hours to do the IC from pulling into the garage to test drive. Took a break for dinner in the middle so I'm not sure the exact time. Dropping the bumper made it significantly easier IMO.
