Alternating between early summer hot and late spring cool here. And that usually means nasty T-Storms and tornadoes. It was in the 70s early this morning and will be in the high 30s tomorrow morning. But next week is looking great. Hope that forecast holds.

I'm spending ski week at a friend's condo in Kirkwood, CA. The weather is perfect now with several days of sunshine before the next snow forecast. Here it is April 5 and more snow coming. It's been in the teens during the day. Tomorrow will be in the 30s so it's starting to warm up. Let's hope it doesn't warm up too fast or this historic snow pack will create havoc with melted snow flooding the valley.

We've had so much snow they are concerned about roof collapsing. They are beginning to clear the snow off the roofs. Here are a couple of pics of one of the units where I am staying. Incredible.

BTW, the ski conditions are phenomenal.

If there is that much snow on the rooftops, there must be that much on the ground. How on earth is the local wildlife dealing with snow that deep?

I'm not quite sure. I do see a lot of animal tracks on the snow. The smart ones figure it out I suppose. Maybe they migrate to lower elevation.

The start of an extra long Easter week-end. We told the staff to stay home and off the roads. I took a bunch of files home yesterday to review and might to a couple of house calls tomorrow to the most vulnerable if the roads are clear. I picked the wrong week to install my Summer Performance tires...

I *think* the snow is done here; now we've got plenty of rain. The nearby tulip festival is delayed a couple of weeks, and even then walking among the tulips may bring mud up to your knees.

I hear you. I do my best to ignore the coming months with 85F+ and high-humidity.

Right now it's high-40s, breezy, raw, and with a thick overcast here. I just told the wife "In a few months, we'll be dreaming of weather like this."

Still cloudy but the system moved offshore quickly and the roads cleared which allowed me to go back to the clinic, get my gear and do some house calls. Now I'm free for the rest of the week-end. Happy Easter! Name: Bunny.jpg

Don't bother pressing play, it's just a screenshot.

Montreal got it pretty bad with the ice storm yesterday. Power, internet, etc. still out. Good day to not park on the streets.

And it's supposed to warm up further late next week.

House calls?! In 2023? Good for you! I thought house calls were only found in museums...
