bit of an update.. lost my licence for driving whilst suspended.. applied good driving bond on 4/4 only to find out my licence was cancelled 3 days later and caught... been fighting these sper fines and traffic camera office fines for over a year... have a report number, even a flight itinerary and wages dating i was away on said offences... now i gotta go to court for the stupid shit...




^ Bought some DBA T5 rotors for the front and T4's for the rear, with Bendix Euro+ Pads.. been cleaning up all my wheel wells and brakes as of recent... wanted to source some f30 calipers but no luck.


^ since i was in the mood for painting and have decided my bay will be blue i decided to tidy this up, plan to paint the ugly inlet manifold to... also have my TBI installed, although could be swapping it out for PI


^ seen this advertised and picked it up for a nice reminder when im not in the garage, pitty about the 4 cylinder but the thought is there... coulda been an n54 lol.


^ another dropping in for full service, blasting and some coding... soon to have mods installed.. sold him my old lights.


^ bought this wanted a blackvue but oh well.

Also got a new waterpump, thermostat, valvecover gasket, oil filter housing gasket and other maintenance items that were required...

want to get my exhaust done, thinking i may just buy a vrsf one.. wait till i work this licence out for this custom tune, kind of annoyed to the CIC system i had lined up and partially paid for isnt responding to calls or txts.. so ill wait for another.

^ Finally bit the bullet, really wanted the vorsteiner bonnet but, may buy the vents and have them fitted? anyone know where to buy them?? i wish to somehow change the look of the bonnet so its not so m3 like.

Cheers, yeah i hate things looking dirty and old, i ended up cleaning under wheel wells and all, so its all clean. like new under there now haha.

Can't comment on a source, but have you considered making the vents functional? With some extra ducting.

I've seen so nice bonnet intakes for e92s that direct air at DCIs, a closed system would be sweet, one perhaps that can be quickly closed for rain.

Not sure how it would work, but it would be cool.

I presume the ones provided are functional? unsure?? i want the GTR hood louvers, going to try get my body shop to do something in regards to this.

Yeah generally i do because of the 1M bumper, dont want my guards water logging braking my bar lol.

I believe rep M3 hoods have non functional vents.

The vents on a real M3 hood, only the right hand side (When standing infront of car) works and connects to the airbox.

^ New bonnet fitted, still needs some aligning.

^ playing around with vent ideas... as i really did wanna go this option, i like the look of it and wanna run on the hot side to vent some of the engine heat.

May have also found myself a complete CIC unit with 6FL... probably pick that up next week... get my seat rail tablet mount which i plan to hardwire along with my dash cam, going to install another 12V outlet under dash or in the footwell.. as two isnt enough. Anyone know if i can run anything off the ipod retrofit connection other then a stupid ipod? (like modify the connection)

How does your vents fit?

I had some fitment issues with my bonnet vents on the ED hood (havent played around with them yet)

they bow somewhat, not a flush finish, guna have to drill the holes out to.

Decided to do some maintenance on my car the past week, had manifold off for paint (will upload pics today) so thought may aswell blast my intake again... that and i am doing oil filter housing gasket, valve cover gasket and my serpentine belt.

I have since got sidetracked and still need to complete rear brakes... ended up installing a 12V outlet under passenger footwell.. and rewired my dash cam into 'stealth mode'



^ Results after 20,000kms (before and after... still pretty bad considering i have installed TBI which is for sale if anyone wants?)


^ Started a job for someone, included blasting, diff oil change, trans change which i didnt go through with as my kdcan/kline cable wouldnt change settings.. also changed motor oil and will be doing more maintenance on his return so he can mod



^ Before and after (160,000kms not sure when was last done but i presume it was..)


^ diesel relocated coolant res.


^ power steering bracket for diesel and uses original mount points to fit coolant res on passenger side.


^ CIC unit, controller, trim, leather visors etc and Sirius radio. (CIC screen and Radio suffered smoke damage, hope they work.. if not ill be professional, cant complain got all this at a respectable price.)


^ Mulf 2-HI with 6fl usb retrofit im yet to pull from the donor, its a prick un doing all the wires required.

and heaps of other random stuff, will post pics of car and things ive been doing later

duno if i should go twins, or go ducks single setup he should have ready in a month, input?
