Drama aside & before thread gets moved

I think someone asked before how it would sound on a stock setup. E92 x drive for instance ? Can't seem to find the post.

Kinda of holding off getting a PE mod done

All your fault jyamona for teasing lol.

It's looking like during a strip show and these testosterone filled men are all getting frustrated.

Obviously if you're MT, then you can just push in the clutch or slide in to neutral. This technique is what I use in my neighborhood and the sound is minimal. Converse, if you're hard on the throttle and then completely let off the throttle to engine brake, then the pops/gurgles will be loud. The loudest I've heard is roughly between the 3-5.5k rpm range. I don't do a lot of engine braking above 6k...
yes i think it will be most obvious during downshift engine braking or just revving high up then letting the rpms fall

It is possible with current tables on MHD. Look what I saw.

I believe that car is completely stock exhaust.

I wonder what Jake thinks about this.
I'd be curious to see Jake's tables compared to twisted tuning's once they both release.

I have no idea. I've never talked to him. This video was with zero pedal input, but if there are separate tables there should be a difference.

Whoa Curveball!

Aside from being a stock exhaust, I think this is a different kind of noise, more gurggle and less crack/pop, not better or worse, just different. Regardless this would require a custom tune from Twisted right?

As far as I know, and at the moment, yes. This isn't my car but he has been tuning my car and doing a great job despite my worn out wastegates. Others may be able to but he is the only one I've seen so far besides the new release and Cobb.

He messaged me about it last night. It's still a hack to get it to work, and not the correct way to implement it. Tricking the throttle to stay open a bit is not the correct way to do this, and I would never recommend someone run this, as it does not cut fuel until you reach the minimum RPM where the pedal torque request returns to 0%. The correct way is with the fuel cut delay tables.

Everyone just needs to have patience.

Settled then! I don't think anyone intends to rush and stress you out. We are just keeping busy by chatting while we wait. Thanks for clearing that up!

Both Twisted Tuning's method as well as Jakes work and accomplish the exact same thing. the throttle is not being held open anymore than it normally would in stock decel form. and is not just influenced by rpm. So the community has two options now, simple.

Options are always good in terms of development as it can all be learned from and used in some way down the road.

Technically, we just have twisted tuning presently. But it will require a custom tune by twisted.

I am eager to see jake's option be implemented into MHD whether paid or free (as the only confirmation we have is that Jake is giving it to MHD for free) I love the slider option Jake mentioned where we can make it loud and long lasting upon decel or loud and short lasting on decel or even more toned down, etc... This year is looking like a great year for the N54 platform.
Especially with the announcements of the 6AT beefier options on the table.

Is like both merged together..

Twisteds seems to gurgle at very low rpm which I like, but doesn't seem to 'pop'.

Jakes pops and crackles on decel and downshifts.

They may be relatively the same, but quite different also.

almost certain the sound difference is simply because the car in twisteds video is still fully catted on stock exhaust.
