I had no idea who he was but was hoping I could figure it out from the context and comments. But your post made it clear. I've seen a bunch of his videos and the guy is a twat. I'm sure he's very knowledgeable on Bmw's and a good mechanic, but ultimately as others said I think he reads DIYs and then makes videos and comments things other people have posted.

I just flashed my wife's e91 AT 328i with the 330i tune only. It feels a little better, but nothing drastic like my e91 325i 6MT.

I just installed my 3sim with new disas and man, my e91 6MT is fun as hell to drive right now. Just got all my fluids flushed too.

I'll be installing my 3sim on my wife's auto this weekend, hopefully the 3sim and new disas will make a drastic change than what it is now. It's ok just to run the 330i flash with the stock transmission, right?
You're a lucky guy,

I wished my wife would've flushed my fluids after installing 3SIM...

Some people just have all the luck :

I bought it on eBay. You can search the best option for you depending on your location.

Hey, sorry if this has been asked already, I've seen mentions of the MAFless tune but I do not see it listed for my 2006 BMW 325i. I do plan on installing the 3-stage soon, but what is the difference/benefits between the regular 330i tune and the MAFless tune? Thank you.

You get to be cool and be able to run your engine without an intake manifold. But otherwise I think mafless is slightly more responsive at least in my experience

Lol that's so cool, but how can I get it, I don't see it for my car on Bimmerlabs?

Bimmerlabs MAF delete high performance tune

There is no "off the shelf" MAF delete tune for the 2006 325.

I had Bimmerlabs build me a "custom" performance tune for mine.

I am running a 2006 325xi with 3 stage manifold swap, silicone intake elbow, MAF delete (euro IAT sensor), carbon filter delete, and k&n style air filter.

I had the 325i-->330i Bimmerlabs swap tune prior to the custom performance tune, which I thought was great.

The Performance tune is AWESOME!!! Night and day better than the 330i stock tune. The Torque gains are truly impressive, as is the improved throttle response. The torque increase feels ALMOST like forced induction: there is so much more torque in the 2500-3000 rpm range.

I can't believe that BMW intentionally hobbled the N52 in the 325, AND made this the only spec for an e91 in North America.

Cost was super reasonable. I would spend the money again, in a heartbeat.

If it increase throttle response, wandering how perfect it will be with PBX map 3 ))))

Now my car with AT 3IM and PBX map 3 burning tires whole first gear and half of second gear during aggressive start ))

+ IAT and Mafless tune will be perfect )

I had PBX in my 2009 323i. I agree that it is nice.

My 325xiT is an automatic. Being xDrive and a wagon, it is as heavy as it gets.
This is REAL power, and more importantly TORQUE, not just throttle response. The Bimmerlabs performance tune brings significantly more throttle response. Get the tune and throw the PBX away, you won't need it.

Questions about what I'm doing wrong

Followed the video steps but ending up with the below errors. Also attached a graphics.

2006 325xi is my car, using the Bimmergeeks cable. My suspicion however is that this may be cable related. I need to charge my battery before attempting anything else.

Which performance upgrade you meant? I already have bimmerlabs 128-130 flash.

Did you meant bimmerlabs custom tune? specially for my car?

I was replying to mike5124 who has a 325ix, same as me.

For your 128i you will need to contact Bimmerlabs using the "request a tuner" icon in the project. See what they have available.

I am running a custom performance tune. This tune would not require a PBX to achieve a sharp throttle response. Adding a piggy back on top of a tune is potentially detrimental, and certainly not necessary.

Anyone here got the drivers for the bimmergeeks kdcan cable?

Reset my laptop and now it doesn't automatically install the drivers for it. It worked fine before on the laptop. Also the cable reads fine on the desktop.

NVM sorted it out had to download some generic drivers for a kdcan online and manually update it

Hey William,

I just tried with my another laptop, it installed all necessary drivers automatically.

You can try to search them by hardware ID on the internet.

Which version of windows do you use? If windows 10 try to install update packages, then try to connect cable again.

I'm using 10 and yes I had to end up going online and finding out which drivers the other generic kdcans used and ran that. Working good now!

BMW intentionally hobbled the 325 to distinguish it from the 330i. Once the 335i was ready for the market, the 328i got as good as it could get without the 3 stage intake.

You have me interested in this performance tune. Is this available for the 330i, and what improvements can be expected? Any drawbackacks to reliability?

I sent in a message for this tune just waiting for them to get back to me. I'm interested in trying it and dynoing the car with 3 stage and headers.

Also wasn't the 328i intentionally kept with the single stage manifold in order to have an even bigger gap between the NA engine and the 335

Not true, the 328 file is still neutered from the factory. Valve lift and fueling are the first things that come to mind.

Today I tested Chinese large DISA ordered from eBay. Overall quality is normal, one thing I noticed flap plastic is not as hard as on the original one, I tried to bend it with my fingers and it bent, actually don't know if that elasticity will cause something in a working process. Rubber harder on the Chinese one.

And finally, I can't understand how they can be as stupid as to do it incorrectly. Tested with INPA, closed and opened it several times, noticed when I initiated open action in INPA flap closes and when I initiated close flap opens (( they connected motor connectors in opposite directions.

I have noticed that Chinese disa valve plastic is a bit softer but since I bond the shaft to the flap it doesn't really matter to me as it won't break but it's definitely a telltale sign of what's being done inside.. also the plastic housing itself which has the green gasket is a lot softer too and tends to flex a lot side to side compared to OEM.

It actuating backwards is usually a board issue that something there was built or put backwards. I have never seen or had one actuate that way, you should record it.
