Install is really straight forward and there really are no surprises if you follow the DIY.
I'd recommend having a set of small plastic pry tools for the screws under the door jamb trim... and don't be afraid to use a little force to pull the black white tabs/screws and yellow (rear) tabs out. Took me about 45 min for one side the first time I did it but now that I've done the install I think I can do both sides in an hr or so taking my time.

Install time will heavily depend on how well the screw holes line up underneath. Since I have to bore out a few of the openings, it added 25 minutes extra to the job. Either way, it is about an hour job.
I am using ABS plastic and epoxy to fill the small gap between the fender liner and the skirt. It is an easy fix and makes it look cleaner. |

alright guys here's a review ( promise i'll have pics by tonight). I got em yesterday and I installed them right away since I've been waiting for them for so long. Left side skirts were short on the front fender and did not line up. Not all the holes on the bottom line up so I could only manage to put on about 3 or 4 or the plastic screws. A hole far left on the top the skirt did not line up so that ones left out. I'm sure the skirts arn't gonna fall off but its good enough for now. There's also a gap in the rear btw the skirt and the panel. It is quite noticible if ur anal about thoes things. Now the right side lined up perfect with the front and the rear fenders. Also again the not all the holes line up on the top and the bottom so Decided to just go with it. OVERALL: the skirts are a great quality, and they look great. The only bad part about it is that my left skirts dont line up with the front fender which is really annoying and the gap on both sides btw the rear panel an skirts. Installation was easy took about an hour. Start by taking the top off, the the bottom, and shove it in. haha! jp no just follow the DIY and you should be ok. THE SCREWS ON THE BOTTOM CAN BE TAKEN OFF BY L-WRENCH SINCE SOME OF OUR CARS ARE TOO LOW TO FIT TORX SCREWS UNDER THE CAR! the clips shap on perfectly! I hope M-Force can send me a new left skirt but if they can't then I guess I'll just suck it up. haha! its worth the wait guys and props for M-force.

As for the holes or not lining up, just use a dremmel to bore out the mounting holes to where you need them. They will all be covered by either the door sill or the under carriage cover. This is a tiny problem that is easy to fix and can be expected with any aftermarket body part. |

I just tried installing the drivers side...it is indeed 1.5mm short still in the front and the hole underneath the front doesn't line up at all....the rest of them I managed to get the undercarriage bolts back on....Haven't tried the passenger side just yet, but the rear clips were perfect....

Guys, remember these are replicas, and not even a replica of a direct fitting OEM ones since none is available, but these are customized/modified to fit on our cars. Some imperfections will be expected. The previous batch were unacceptable, but it looks like they've done a decent job with this latest batch. I have to give credit to M-Force for their attempts. I'm actually not using their previous sides skirts anymore as I went with a different route, but I'm glad to see some people are getting theirs on. Just be realistic and don't expect 100% fitments, and it may never be, so plan your decisions accordingly.

Actually the ones from Long Tran, while all the holes lines up, the skirts itself does NOT fit well. The front is 2mm short, rear is 2mm long, front and rear also flexes outwards 2-3 mm. It must be modified by a good body shop if you want it to look decent. I know from personal experience. Perhaps if you were local he can make the adjustments for you, but not everyone lives near him.

Well, the clock is ticking. I'm supposed to get a tracking number or full refund today. With the fitment issues, I think I'm just going to get the refund.
I went and looked at some black M3's this weekend, and you can't even tell they are M3 skirts. Totally not worth it for my car.

You guys are too patient with your refund deadlines. I just filed my Paypal dispute to get my money back...I'm tired of waiting. This has gotten ridiculous. I'll go M-Tech or maybe purchase a CF trunk instead.

Here are some tips: -Fit the skirt in and make sure the bottom of the skirt is tucked "beneath" the undercarriage panel (it helps having two people here as you can have one person secure the front and the other person secure the rear). Pop the rear yellow tabs into place to help secure the rear. -Start with the front... insert the tab until it is flush and gently flex the lower portion of the side skirt to line up that first hole... thread the plastic screw in HALF WAY. -Continue down the length of the side skirt, flexing the bottom of the skirt to line up the holes and threading each screw half way. -When you get to the rear and have the final undercarriage screw threaded, line up the two 8mm screws and torque them down. Go ahead and tighten up all the undercarriage screws as well. -The holes hidden by the door sill *should* line up very nicely now (they did on both driver and passenger sides of my set). If not, gently flex them upward to line them up. -Patch everything else up and be on your way... This is the way *I* did it and it worked perfectly fine for my premodified skirts. However, because everything fits so tight there is little if any room for adjustment. Perhaps taking the dremel to the holes (as F_B_IS suggested) will change that and allow some fudging... Quote:
There are very few pieces out there that fit 100% OEM. Even Vorsteiner's pieces that claim OEM-like fitment are off in some way/shape/form. And part of it also comes down to the enthusiast/buyer... Most of us are waaaaay anal over shit like this (not that there's anything wrong with that). It's just that most of us need to understand that it is difficult for any aftermarket company to get it 100% right, and NOT charge us a fucking arm and leg for that part. Case in point: my friend's Ericcson trunk in FRP fits like a DREAM. Saw it in person just a couple of months ago and I absolutely could NOT see any fitment issues/flaws at all... However, he did end up paying 2200 (unpainted) for frickin FRP... Quote:

But TH, if you really don't think these are worth it any more, then why bother with any side skirt at all?

Finished both sides. The rear passenger is buldges a small amount, but I bored out the mounting holes a bit to get rid of it almost completely. If you can use a dremmel, then you can get 95% + fitment. It is not perfect, but I am not sure there are reps that are ever perfect. The M3 side skirts really transform the look of the car, so I think almost everyone on here will be happy with these if you can dremmel out the holes to get the skirts to fit where you want. They really pull down the whole look of the car closer to the ground which many of us wanted.
