for some reason, I do not see an option to send you a PM; for a quote, please send me an email at info@bimmerretrofit.com, and include your VIN (vehicle identification number), so I can offer you the right kit.
Thanks, Kate. |

CIC components removal instructions from TIS or ISTA
Thanks! Now I have to wait for the optical drive to arrive. The problem is that I am not a professional installer, and neither can I get help from the local BMW dealer to replace the optical drive within the CIC. I have asked them, but they tell me that they are only able to replace the whole CIC, and are not trained (at least locally in Peru) to open the CIC and replace individual components, like the optical drive.
However, according to this document (http://www.motor-talk.de/forum/aktio...hmentId=690172), "The installation and removal instructions for the individual components and the complete CIC control unit are available in TIS (Technical Information System) or the workshop system ISTA." Can somebody help me with the instructions from these documents? The TIS or the workshop system ISTA, cited above. I haven't found them anywhere online. Thanks |

Please PM me price and local installer for CIC and combox. Also I have the Alpina B3 TCU flash currently - is this affected? Can you recode Alpina B3 TCU if necessary? Thanks!

Hi new on the forum just finished retrofitting idrive, navigation etc into my 08 e93 built july 08 n47 diesel it already had bluetooth.
installed MOST ipod interface also tried to code with autologic I'm getting warning message "compatability issue" in both 8.8" display and ccc my part number on the ccc is 9185536 they both came from a 08 E92 n53 petrol built aug 08 the ccc is the professional with the 2 disc slots and the 8 preset buttons as there are compatability issues, autologic wouldnt let me code the ipod interface it also suggests look in BMW parts catalogue for 9185555 & 9185624 one is the screen the other is the ccc ive searched both these part numbers and found nothing autologic showed me the vin of the vehicle it came out of, am I able to change that? all the system is fully functional apart from the ipod (obviously), i cant get my phone book up on the display and the speech was working with the cd73 its not working now the oil level, pdc everything else works i just want to be able to code the ipod do I need to buy an earlier ccc but theres only a month in the dates the cars were built surely there wasnt a massive software upgrade done after my car was built, does anyone know if there was I fitted this system in my older e90 2007 and took it out when I sold it, it wouldnt code either to that car, didnt get oil level but I could adjust settings on the car with it but I wasnt bothered as it worked well with the bluetooth and navi. now i have a new car I would like it to work properly it works alot better in this car i get warning messages on the bottom (fuel level, fasten seat belts etc) i didnt get any of that on the e90 thanks in advance |

Buying from EBAY
[B]I understand the concern of purchasing from a known source![B] However!! there are times when the opportunity to purchase outside the source is available. It is complete (CIC w/HD Radio, CID, Controller, LVDS Cable, USB & Cable. The unit comes out of a 335XI production date Oct 10 2010 Vin A919024. I have a non iDrive 2009 328i Coupe Vin P135907. Will this unit fit/work in my vehicle once the vehicle order has been reprogrammed? Any insight would be appreciated

Of course, I assume that you know history of vehicle with VIN A919024 and you know 100% that it has not been flooded and the equipment functions well And of course you will need to replace the dashboard and bunch of other plastics in order to convert your vehicle from non-iDrive to iDrive. |

This is the missing part. I have been googling the phase "how to bench test BMW navigation system, but have been unsuccessful. I am sure there is a way, I need to keep searching. BTW, I sincerely appreciate you confirming that the unit is a match. Last edited by Learning Man; 07-28-2013 at 12:35 AM.. Reason: addition |

By "bench test" you mean testing the CIC on the table? If so, then we do sell the table kit for that purpose, for coding and programming as well

Anyhow, What I want to do is make sure the system works before I invest in the balance of the Plastic for retrofit. I have not gotten to the point of understanding the difference between coding and programming. I have been spending my reading time on understanding what proper pieces were needed for a correctly built nav system. Is your table kit for testing to make sure the complete system works before installing it. Or is coding and programming included in the price? |
