I emailed support to find out if this is a bug of if I am doing something incorrectly. I believe the point of this thread is to discuss the 5-10 beta maps how the car drives and what I am experiencing.... and I am doing that.

Well thats because autotune now on this beta maps does not adjust automatically boost and ic as explained by shiv in the paragraph above.

you guys think the auto tune is preventing the max boost from being hit? Any one else experiencing this? Does anyone go over 15 PSI on Map 2?

If you have Ut45% aka initial boost 14,5psi thats were the boost will settle . Aututune is OFF! It wont automatically adjust upwards to max boost 16 psi! If you want to run 15 psi than set it to 50%

It should be noted that autotune is "ON" as read only.
If you want your max boost to be "16 psi" you need to set your UT to "60". Easier said, select what boost and IC you want to run until auotune is FULLy enabled. Hope this helps. |

There is no issue with boost not hitting target. Make sure you are inputting the start boost in % and not in psi (ie 60% not 16psi)

Shiv, can you please explain the difference? Thanks From the Procede manual: Power Output ● Maximum Boost (5-20 psi) ○ The maximum boost you wish to allow the engine to run at. ○ If Autotuning is enabled, this is the maximum boost level that autotuning will be able to tune to, not the starting level. Use the “Start Boost %” setting to tell autotuning where to start. ● Start Boost % (11-20psi) ○ The initial boost before autotuning. 0-100% between 10-20 psi. Therefore, 30% = 13psi, 65% = 16.5psi, etc. ● Start Ign. Correction (0-100%) ○ This is the ignition correction before autotuning 0-100% 0% = zero ignition correction,100% = full ignition correction.

Shiv, I know you're busy, but when you get a second please check out the logs I emailed you. They look fine to me, just want to get your opinion.

AS of right now with auto-tuning read only, your max boost is your start boost. (this means your car wont autotune UP to max boost). As soon as autotuning is finished for the new DIC mapping, max boost will still be the max allowed through autotuning and UT will still be starting boost. |

EDIT: If you do decide to set your boost at 16, be sure and set your Max Boost setting at 17 to prevent an overboost code. |

The issue I had though was that if the start boost setting was >= Max Boost, that the Target boost would go to 20psi. I did multiple pulls and the boost would shoot up to 20psi then fall back down. I even charted the pulls, and you could clearly see the Target Boost well over both Max and Start Boost settings. I was hoping to get an explanation for that from Shiv.

Did you have aftermarket BOV or DV? I don't think the stock DV can hold boost over 13psi . Last edited by RR80; 05-25-2011 at 09:59 PM.. |

If, for some strange reason, you set Start boost higher than Max boost, you will trigger an Procede overboost fault. And then your car will run in valet until you cycle ignition power. If you see 19psi on your in-dash boost gauge, it's due to throttle closure caused by the Procede reacting to the overboost condition. So it's not "real" boost pressure. You can verify this by looking at CAN dbw throttle current this event.
