Sure, but the only thing that I know for certain is that there are numerous theories and contradicting information and that it appears that no one seems to know what they are talking about...

For real?

The single turbo upgrade doesnt make more fuel. Shiv's fueling solution (not out) hopefully will.
Not to mention the advancements in tuning over the past few months and hardware/firmware changes.
He wont know how far it can go until he slaps on a big turbo cause 2 small snails wont make the power of one big turbo.

no we couldn't make more power with the stock turbos with all the fuel in the world.. we've already used them/are using them to their full efficiency. fuel is not limiting those with stock TD03 turbos. fuel is limiting some of the current upgrades, so obviously then limiting the progress and even motivation to take initiative of taking things further.

and then there was shiv.

Not sure if this has been covered or not, but will you be able to run this single turbo kit with the rev 2.5? or do you need to upgrade to the rev3?

I'm asking because ultimately I would like to have BIG power one if these days, and I have a rev2 I want to upgrade to 2.5, but I want to make sure I will be set as far as the procede goes.

Thanks Travis

That's what i've been trying to figure out too, especially the fueling bit. I'd hate to have to upgrade twice.

read through a bunch of pages with no update. I would think 1 single would be cheaper than 2x RB turbos at $4k?

A single turbo kit is going to cost a lot more than the RBs....

It shouldn't be!The turbos themselves are cheap. The RBs had a lot of manual work. A single kit should be a manifold, turbo/dp (optional), and supporting fueling.

If they were priced proportionally to your DPs, they'd be 10k.

seriously though i have to agree once the r&d work is done the kit should be pretty straight forward.........

The big question for Shiv is does he want a couple of sales or a LOT of sales. I guess the trick is getting the turbo to VIN lock

My roomate in college had an 02 Tacoma with the rear mount turbo kit by sts and ran meth. He made 300whp w/out meth i believe.

It was pretty awesome.

I'm willing the bet it would be at least 4500-5500 and that's being generous. For a full conversion you will be paying for a GOOD turbo not some cheapy, manifold, Downpipe, intercooler, wastegate, misc other hardware and whatnot, plus no one is in this game to lose their ass. Even if if you are a Motörhead you still have to reimburse youself for r&d and be able to turn a profit. We don't drive civics and neons... When something breaks it costs alot more to fix so more time(=money) is usually invested into an overall better quality product.

I don't think anyone is suggesting this will be anything but a 1st class product IF it works. Just pure speculation atm. At the end of the day as soon as this is out there will be others. So shiv can think like apple and put a high price and ride the name until the contenders come to the party and then loose market share to the HTC rivals who have a better product and cheaper price.

BTW I am not suggesting htc are moving into the car market, just a comparison that they were well after apple in the smartphone race and are now no1 in the US. After all the work going into this and the failures to date it would be a shame to see shiv put a premium price because he thinks thats what the market will bare only to find 3 months later BMS, AR, ER etal are all offering the same 'improved' kits for less money.

Guys this product hasn't been installed, tuned or even ever mentioned by Shiv that it would for sure go into production. Let's not put the cart ahead of the horse.

What turbo are you buying? Any decent turbo is going to set you back about 2k
