Reset adaptations and make sure maintenance is up to date.

I did, and it is. My mileage has gone pretty bad lately too.

Anyway, I dont want to clutter up the dyno thread with non dyno related talk. I'll have headers and the header tune on soon, if the richness really is due to cat protection, maybe it will go away then. Somehow I doubt it though

Shows solid gains. Thanks for posting.

What made you go AA over BPC? Just wondering. Contemplating similar.

The BPC tune wasnt really known about when I bought the tune. Now I would have gone wih them.

Still can't believe you lost all that power putting the merge so far forward! Gosh!

I'll bet the torque drop is due to the merge placement - way too close to the headers. put it closer to the rear axle and you'll get all that torque back. the size after the merge isn't that important.

That's verbatim what I stated. Kgolf had to compromise because of the way he was routing his exhaust - but he gained power, and lost nothing. Everyone wins.

Zero Torque loss though. I don't call that a compromise

yeah on my other car, I put it right by the headers. that was a mistake. It didn't lose much torque but I ended up not gaining anything either. I'll redo it with the new motor though and put it as far back as possible.

Well, it doesn't have to be THAT far back.

somewhere close to the rear subframe is actually pretty good for an inline BMW 6 cyl. I mean, a bit closer to the engine doesn't hurt too bad, but you can have a better torque curve without sacrificing much top end power.

Theoretically you could put it further back but it gets a lot more difficult once you get past the subframe..

Uh, we have the same design. It's immediately after the headers, before the location of stock secondaries / before the bend. Still fine . Obviously a huge torque loss!

Ours merge immediately after the header flange. Maybe 4in back, before any other bend, well before trans tunnel.

Pretty sure that's right at the first bend, like I stated.
You're such a prick about this lol. Who cares who places what where? People mod their cars how they want, why do you care?

I am to the extent I meant what I wrote but not in the sense you are with merge placements. But I'm sure if we took a quick poll we'd see if others felt the same way or not.

The merge starts immediately after the header flange. You can see the bracket that is *right* after the flange in the front of your picture. You could not physically make it any closer to the header flange.

Were you expecting the merge inside of the header on mine or what? You were on about it being back probably 5 feet from this or "zomgztorqueloss", which clearly doesn't happen on the dyno.
