Cheers Buddy!!! Now time to get modding
Quote:
I really want everything you've listed, as well as remote start (mainly just for the air so i can turn the engine on when playing with the air at shows)... Would be nice to warm up the car for 1 minute before i get into it in winter. BUT MAINLY i really want a pager system so i know if it is being set off. There was a study recently that showed people do not take notice or give a shit about an alarm going off anymore lol. Only the owner would do anything about their own car. UPDATE So my car is going in for a full detail with the guys at MAX PROTECT They have some crazy nano technology products http://www.max-protect.co.uk/ It is a sealant you can apply over the car and more importantly wheels with polished lips. It lasts a year to 4 years depending on whether it is a daily or a garage kept car. This should make maintaining the paint work, preventing swirl marks and scratches a whole lot easier! More importantly, polished lips will not corrode and will be protected from brake dust and potential pitting! I am eager to see how it performs and i will definitely do a thorough review on the company and the product them selves. WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT UNC-R is the world’s first Nano Coating that turns into a Rubber Membrane when cured in room temperature. This flexible nature enables the finish to be ultra-resistant to wash swirl mark build-up* and does not suffer from hard water spotting like some Nano Glass Coatings do. Incredibly glossy, super smooth and easy to clean surface is what UNC-R is all about! Same as our Nano Glass Coatings, UNC-R is a permanent coating and can only be removed with sand paper once fully cured. Has extremely high chemical resistance (Salt, Acid, Brake Dust, Exhaust Gasses, Tree-Sap, etc.) and high UV filtering properties. [u2b]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJxeJVOdP_g[/u2b] |

SEP 18th 2014
I am always looking for new ways to splurge on the car. I thought i'd make more of an effort on the smaller things and see how they impact the car. Anyway, i had heard of this guy Raj FullHouseCustoms who specialises in all things vinyl like emblems, centre caps, key rings inc Gell Number plates etc... I sent him a message with my ideas and he mocked up my ideas and off we went. I wanted to fine tune the design a little and get the colours right etc as it isn't that easy via email unless you are going for something straight forward. So he invited me over to his house on a weekend and we worked through it in about 30mins. Absolute legend and knows his stuff!!!! He has been in this game a long while!!! So i had some SSR Centre Caps made up with a little twist which is probably unnoticeable but makes a subtle difference to the original SSR logo. Also had some caps made up for my new SSR Lug Nuts. I saw a ferrari with red lug nuts the other day. It was rolling down the road the red lug nut ends created an awesome looking red ring. I hope i get the same look!!!! So enough talking, here they are. Oh by the way i got a short gell number plate made up. It looks fantastic!!! The Blue should match my BBK nicely fingers crossed THANKS AGAIN RAJ!!!! So my little light teaser. I thought it was time to mix things up. We've got some new angels made up recently, a superior design and as people were asking for a ring which gave off more of a white light with a blue tinge like you get on the new Merc's, Audi's Bentley's etc... So this is it PURE WHITE- TOP COOL WHITE- BOTTOM It looks slightly more blue in the pic than it really is... it is hard to capture such bright rings. Also these rings have such small LEDs that they are not individually noticeable!!!! So all you get is a clear ring of light with no breaks. You can just about make that out in the picture. I would say the original pure white LED light is slightly brighter but it is minimal. What I am looking at doing... nothing is set in stone. |

I think it is £36.99 a bottle which is 30ml. One bottle can do a set of rims and a bit more.
They really protect the rims from everything that can thrown at them. DO a little search on their product. So i picked my car up today. Janis at MaxProtect is such a kl guy. We thought we would have time to detail the entire car this week and protect the paint work, but we ran short on time as his details take about 3 days for a proper thorough job. You know you are going to have an outstanding quality of service if a detail takes this long! He managed to get my freshly refurbished rims done and protected and gave the car a wash and wax for Players, which he did not have to do. He is already going above and beyond as a service! The car will be going in for the detail next week in time for WestSide Here are some pictures The car was up on stands to give the car a proper going over The wax really made the paint pop nicely A few from outside the MaxProtect HQ Last edited by Josh1a1h; 09-24-2014 at 12:28 PM.. |

http://www.gyeonquartz.com/ Body work - Q2 Prime: stressful to apply the first time and I would say its not easy. Get it wrong and you will need a DA polisher to get it off. It adds a quartz layer providing scratch resistance. There is a better coating in their range called MOHS+, but you can not buy this and do it yourself as it is really hard to apply. You have to go to an approved applicator. The finish is not rich and dark like a carnauba wax, but it does give a nice sharp finish. Your car will be much easier to clean and you can say goodbye to swirls etc. Wheels - Q2 Rim. Much easier to apply than Q2 Prime and well worth the trouble. Makes cleaning so much easier. Trim - Q2 Trim. Easy to apply and well worth the trouble. I've also recently done by windscreen with Q2 View, but so far I have not driven in the rain. Its really important to have the car fully detailed before applying these coatings. Last edited by Ao1; 09-20-2014 at 04:59 AM.. |

RE Nano coatings Josh there's more out there now than there was say a couple of years ago,
I've used GTechniq products(which are great-but require due care on application i.e. you apply and carefully remove residue with a microfilber cloth before it cures) www.gtechniq.com/ I've also used on my wheels Nanolex products again same as the above http://www.nanolex.de/en Loads of stuff about the above on detailing world |

Thanks Seb!!! Much happier with them! They are catching peoples attention left right and centre compared to before. Quote:
So the car is still down with Janis @ MaxProtect! I am more excited than ever to get it back being freshly detailed. I am going to put the nano coatings through some testing for you lads and get some very thorough reviews up. But so far, as some of you already have seen at Players, the performance of the beading on the wheels they have already done is unreal!!!! No idea how impressive the bodywork will be! SO far my experience with Janis has been great. He knows his stuff re: detailing and has a great shop in Hertfordshire just off the M1, which is very easy to get too. Anyway, more to follow on this later and a separate topic will be dedicated to it for sho' ANYWAY on a side note. A little teaser of what has just arrived from Dan at PB!!!! |
