Do you know to what torque setting....should I get a torque wrench or just lock it down as hard as I can till it stops.

Torque for a 17mm lug bolt (aka bmw) is 80ft/lbs.

19mm is 95ft/lbs, and those japanese imports that run 21mm nuts, I usually do 100ft/lbs. But thats a hair overkill, usually leave it at 90.

For god's sake, dont just crank down on them...you can snap on, rip the threads out of the hole, or better yet, make the guys who have to take your wheels off when you get a flat (aka me or some other mechanic) curse and swear and call you a f-in asshole who tightned the lugs way too much.
