Quite a rude guy who shouts a lot at people...
It does look like Chris Farley. What's this guy's name? I'll check him out.
The characters name is Bob de Rooij, played by Paul de Leeuw.

Not my kind of humor per se, but he did have quite the fanbase here.

Oh, and also:
That image you posted is interesting. I lived in Amsterdam while on a multi-year project back in the 90s. I found the women to be refreshingly straight forward and uncomplicated. Maybe I was wrong about them.
Ah cool, what did you think of the country?

About the women, it is certainly true. In fact, it is what we Dutch people are 'famous' for, at least with our surrounding countries: straight forward, uncomplicated and maybe a bit arrogant.

I love The Netherlands. My client put me up in a house on Nassaukade (Amsterdam) after living in a hotel for a year. Only after living in a neighborhood did I really get to know Amsterdam and the surrounding areas. My kids went to the International School in Amstelveen. What a great experience for all of us.

The Dutch are hard-working people who literally made something out of nothing. I don't see you as arrogant. I see you as rightfully proud.

Thanks, nice to hear your thoughts about us Dutchies!

I live in the south, near the city of Eindhoven. Fifth biggest city of the Netherlands. Amsterdam is cool too, so much to see and do around there.

I rode to Amsterdam and stayed at the Hotel Apollo. I was kind of taking aback when the Bell Boys were almost fighting to see who was going to take my dirty saddlebags to my room. Then I had to surrender my passport with the desk clerk. Canadian?? Well, I certainly didn't look like royalty in my riding gear. Anyway, they made me feel like a princess and even sent a small bottle of champagne and flowers. It's only afterward that I realized that they had noticed my Canadian military plate. I did participate twice to the " Internationale Vierdaagse Afstandsmarsen Nijmegen" while residing in Germany.

I think that last generation has already come and gone. Do they even teach parallel parking anymore? Lol.

I had a Dutch colleague who lived in Eindhoven. Big Philips town. He invited my family over for dinner one Saturday. I asked him the address and he only gave me the street name. I asked him for the number and he said, "You'll know the house when you get here." Well, we got to the street and 1/2 way down the block was a house with an American flag flying from the flagpole. He was right, we didn't need the number. As soon as we got inside he took the flag down. My wife and I visited them again in 2019 and we got a good laugh recalling that moment.

Yup, hence the Dutch saying: 'De wind van voren krijgen'.

Literally it means 'getting the wind from the front', and it means that you are in for some serious trouble because someone is going to give it to you because you did or said something wrong.

And, to avoid being accused of highjacking this thread, a nice contribution:

I can vouch for that. They certainly don't mess around with their bicycles. I took this random photo when I was there the last time.

The bikes over there and in Germany seem to be of the heavy easy step in frame variety, not many racers or MTB's there from what I saw.
