Interesting Mark. I wonder if that other photographer noticed the horrible CA in his image. His EXIF says he's using a 70-200mm, but it must not be a Canon. He needs to run through a Digital Lens Optimization program to see if he can crunch that out.

EXIF says it's a Tamron 70-200. I didn't notice the CA. I thought it was just sunlight reflecting off the pole and shining through her shirt. I did see at full res that it isn't quite as sharp as it should be. I'd suggest MA, but he's got a 60D. No such luck.

That's also what I see.

I'm constantly amazed at the files that the 5D3 can produce. That'd make a decent sized print.

Yeah, I brought the shadows on the bird up a bit, which is why you can see some noise on it if you look closely. I am impresses as well. That is just a 1024 x 1024 box cut out of the original image, which is pretty darn small. Pretty good resolving power.

You may be right. Looking at it at 100%, there's lots of sun on the right side of her, the pole, the bench, etc. and, as you mention, it's not as sharp as it should be.

I think the noise is very manageable. I see only luminance, which doesn't really both me. It's like grain. Still, some people are bothered by it.

Thanks guys! I've been facinated with photography for the past few years, and cars since I was just a little guy (BMW's especially).

Here's a pic from a friends supercharged M3 that I shot last fall. Looking forward to getting my hands on an F30 to do some pics

Yea you got it. I mount a boom to the vehicle that I attach the camera to and then edit the boom out in post.

Not sure I could stomach my gear hanging out there! Well, not with my driving at least.
