Luxury cars depreciate more, hence the lower residual. The more expensive the car, generally the more it depreciates. Unless it's a rare commodity.

i didnt say to drive a civic.... what i'm saying a 335 you can get for about half of a m3... and if you dont want to keep it for more than a year and a half then its really hard to make a "satisfaction" arguement for the m3... maybe if it was 2-300 difference.

But, like i said, if you are basically putting a 10,000 downpayment on a 335 (mods) and only getting half that back... it might then make sense to go with the m3.

i.e. 10,000 / 16 months = 555 a month more.... but since you do get half that back (hopefully)....

i think it comes down to your cashflow

you WILL spend money to mod the M3 on top of high monthly lease rate

if you can bare with it then go for it

if not, then time to think about that montego again

MF difference is like 30 bucks a month. not that much. the big hit is residual/negotiated price which is MSRP. i might do that, but aint gonna help too much
