No go with the translations,

I created a tab delimited file and appended the contents to the all_jobs_en_txt and then run your batch program. Log created shows. An error at line 255000++ , unexpected character at end of line. Text file has far fewer than 250,000 lines.

I'll tinker with the translations next.

Thanks again.
Nice to hear the issue got solved. You must be using standalone version ? Didn't realize that until now. The .zip on the website is intended for Ediabas users. But as you found out standalone version just needs that 'ecu' directory and one additional .dll file in testo folder. I guess it should be possible to make just one package and add an option which one (standalone / ediabas) to use.

In the newest version you can choose column text format in the log file:

- Original (translation taken from .BIV - usually in german)
- Translated (from translations/jobs_all_en_EN.txt)
- Result name (like. STAT_WK_WERT)

Ok, I see. Could you email the new edited file to me ? I'll take a look. phenotesto AT gmail.com

The format is as follows:

RESULTNAME<TAB>RES_L<TAB>Translated text<CR><LF>

RES_L can be also RES_S or JOB_L or JOB_S

SMG_60

Hey guys, I just came across testo for the first time as I needed to figure out some way to data log my SMG3 (e60 m5) and this thing looks really cool, unfortunately it doesn't look like SMG_60 is available in the ECUs list.

Is this something I can add manually by extracting my PRG into somewhere or maybe setting up a custom mapping? Or would I have to hope this gets added at some point in the future?

Thanks

Yo.
Did you try copying your inpa stuff like this describes? Is it visible in inpa?

You'll have to add the name of the prg in TestO/jobs/eculist.txt and restart. Then it should be visible. You can also remove the ones you don't need.

quick question, is there a way to save the data logger fields after I select some? sort of like a preset so I can quickly open the app and start data logging without having to go through the few hundred fields to find the 6 I want to log.

thanks

If you are running a custom job and are data logging it will automatically save it for you. You can playback in TestO

how do I create a custom job? I tried looking around but I couldn't figure out a way to save the data logger session as a custom job.

EDIT: Ok, now that i knew what the term I'm looking for was I found a video which shows how to do this thanks

Just actually tried to do this in testo but when I go to add a new job for SMG_60 it throws an error "Can't find table/jobinfo for ecu:SMG_60". The SMG_60 is added in eculist.txt

Edit: I just realized this error is probably because i'm not hooked up to the car at the moment, I'll check again tomorrow.

Nope, I just tried creating a custom job for SMG_60 while connected to the car and got the same "Can't find table/jobinfo for ecu:SMG_60"

is there anything I can try or need to do first?

I know this thread is pretty old/dead, but tons of great info in here. Thanks to all that prodded around to figure out what we can effectively log!

Hi! I have MEV9N46L in ECU list. But I haven't found this ECU in Custom Jobs. What's wrong?
