I disagree, going from ranking 12th in the FIFA world rankings to 3rd or 4th isn't a waste of time & I suspect Belgium wouldn't want to drop from 3rd to 4th so one would suspect both sides to put out the best teams they have available.

It usually is. But last wc we (Netherlands) lost the semis to Argentina but then won the consolation game against the hosts Brazil 3-0. That was a great match and we were really happy about it.

Arrived home from a day out at the beach with Mrs Chappers & the puppy to see the final five minutes with England losing 2_0, glad I didn't bother watching.
Another tournament passes with the overpaid English players falling to deliver yet again

Yeah . I watched the game , and honestly after 30 min. both teams looked tired .
Overall Belgium looked stronger with their counter attacks . England had also several chances , but there was no determination in the English game .
Think Hazard deserves to be the player of the World Cup ...
Let us hope to see in 2022, England vs Belgium in the final !

This has been one of the most exciting world cups I can remember. For me it ranks up there with USA 1994 and France 1998. My family comes from the balkans region and I will be pulling hard for the Croats tomorrow. If they play anything like the 2nd half in the semi against England, they will win. Let's hope for an exciting final.
