I've had H&R and Eibach's. Eibach's have a better ride in my opinion and the drop isn't too aggressive for everyday use. When I had H&R's I caught my front bumper a few times and I had opted for the H&Rs with the smallest drop.

Thanks for the input Rich. I've taken a gamble on a set if H&Rs on sale from a forum member.

I'll be fitting them myself so will update the post with how that goes. Hopefully there will be a break in the crappy British weather to enable me to do them

rears took me an hour (as i was taking my time) and fronts probs 3.5/4 hours as I have never changed springs before and took it easy with the spring compressors to ensure they didn't go flying

Thanks for the info I've done this before so know it's straightforward

I need to replace rear shocks while I'm in there too.

MOT next Friday too so need to get that out of the way first

A few more pics after a wash. I love how low it sits now and ride quality is still decent

Ride height is spot on buddy. Like the interior trim pieces too. Pity the car doesn’t stay clean long enough in this weather.

Thanks Raj. She's tucked up in the garage for the time being. Itching to drive her again though as she's running well at the moment!

After seeing yours again I'm wondering whether I should darken the wheels.....

It never ends LOL. I do love the look of the Rays grey/gunmetal etc. Winters are darker than I wanted but like it now riding on them.

Actually drove her on Saturday as thought even if she gets a little dirty I need to get her out and about.

I have been meaning to get around to replacing the old AGM battery as car has refused to start after coming home from work after a couple of months the last two times and needing a battery charger on it for a while.

Old battery:

Can't see a manufacture date on it so unsure if it's the original.

New battery in the process of me fitting it. It's a fiddly job!

It's a Yuasa 100ah 900cca non AGM battery. Cost £125.

I simply couldn't justify more than double the cost to pay for an AGM battery.

Fired up Carly and registered the change of type. Jobs a good un.
