Definitely placebo magic.

Hardly any petroleum refining presence left in Australia so your diesel is sourced from a range of overseas refineries and shipped to Australia. Your BP diesel isn't made by BP; it's bought from an Asian refinery and sold to you by BP. Although there are minimum standards in place, the diesel will differ depending on which refinery supplies it.

Even when there was a refining presence, the majors didn't have refineries in every state. Caltex and BP would supply Shell in Queensland, and Shell would return the trade in Victoria.

BP isn't necessarily BP.

Nice one! Might look into a carbon grille for mine down the track.

Not super keen on the all chrome kidney grille mine has.

So in regards to the 330D - with DPF delete and a tune - how much power/torque can be gained by maxing out the stock turbos?

Are there reputable tuners in Australia who can tune them? N54 cars have quite a few options...

Check out evolve technik

They seems like one of the premium places to do it.

Has Anyone one here actually used them? They mention "Chip tuning"...so not a proper dyno tune?

Who has the highest powered 330D on here and what figures is it making?

Depending on the engine - M57 or N57 the tuning is as completely different as the engine.

The N57 is a single VGT turbo which can make boost from idle. The big hurdle has been the encrypted DDE (EDC17CP09) which has required the DDE to be removed and bench flashed or a spider boot used. Tuning via the OBD can now be done but it requires the correct equipment. Some companies offer tunes with DPF in place to meet any environmental regulations. With the DPF removed and an aftermarket downpipe installed 40% increase in torque and power is the entry points obtained.

A lot of European tuners can provide OTS maps with outstanding results. If your finances can afford time on a local dyno with an experienced diesel tuner is always going to be optimum.

Got my car back from BMW Bundoora body shop.
HeadLights fixed.
Some minor scratches fixed.
Slight scratches to my front rim but someone.
All covered by opposite person's insurance.
Drove around the new 330i for couple days while car was in the shop.
And got a free pen from them for using them.
Cannot recommend them enough.
