Is there a TLDR to get the car to readiness once installed? Don't really feel like reading through dozens of posts. Would be nice to link to the OP too if there is one.

Here is the link to the manual

I would start at the 5 o'clock position first. And depending on the codes is how you adjust the unit. If you have any questions please let me know.

I still don’t know how to go about adjusting this unit and fine tuning it. The directions don’t really explain well. Do I turn it to the right to make it stronger and what does ohms mean ??

With the cables facing up set the dial to the 5 o'clock position. Make sure that the arrow is facing the 5 o'clock position. Reset the codes and go for a drive (about 100 miles). Depending on the codes depends which way the setting needs to go. Also make sure that you are on the stock map/tune with the any auto clear function disabled. Hope this helps. If you have any questions please let me know.

Do you know if it needs to be ≈100 miles continuous, or will it complete a cycle after 100 miles of commuting/normal driving over multiple days? I have only put on about 40 miles since installing, no codes yet, flashed to MHD stage 0.

As long as you have 20~30 miles of highway miles non-stop. It could take a few trips up to 100 miles. The ecu needs to do some internal checks before setting.

When I want to remove it, can I just pull the entire unit out of the JB4 and I’ll be fine ? Or do I need to replace the jb4 wires that were there already

The manual posted references three wires - 19,20 & 23. Unfortunately, my wiring harness for my 2008 335i looks absolutely nothing like what is pictured. Pin positions 19, 20 and 23 on my connector are empty. I have searched all over the internet including this forum for some help and have come up empty. I do not have a JB4 and I still have my O2 sensors installed. Can someone please tell me what exactly pins 19, 20 and 23 are referencing?

It should be the same unless you are looking at the wrong connector. Can you take a picture of what your are looking at.

I bought from you off of ebay before I saw it here. Quick question for you. Can I install this without the JB4? I currently have a JB4 installed but plan to take it out and just run the MHD.

In the manual it explains how to install without a jb4 on pages 2-5.

Here is the manual
