My daily is a 135i, weekend toy is a C6 Corvette and the wife drives a Lincoln MKZ.
I miss not having a SUV so thinking about adding a Cherokee. Maybe time is near to say goodbye to the 1. It served me very well for a decade but dealing with sleazy BMW dealership assholes and way too many recalls has spoiled the brand for me forever.

I like it a lot more than I thought I would. To me it looks great and I love the color. The steering feedback is pretty good, even with it lowered. It now has BC Racing coil overs, which are similar to the H&R Super Deep's. Power is pretty decent at 290hp, but I'll get a tune soon.

The infotainment system is fantastic in this car. The touch screen is very intuitive ...best I've ever used. Seats are comfortable enough as a daily, but give a little support when you want to push it a little. I like the look and utility of the hatchback.

One thing I do not like is when you put the car in reverse it automatically lowers the volume on the radio. Usually no big deal and you can press a button to get the volume back....but when I'm listening to podcasts I find myself pausing it or rewinding a few seconds.

The other thing I absolutely hate is the brake dust. Holy brake dust....after 1 day they're dusty as hell. I've been spoiled with carbon ceramic brakes on other cars. I got some Powerstop Evolution carbon ceramic brake pads, which are being installed today. From what I found online I think they may reduce the dust quite a bit.

I wanted a small-ish car that was easy to daily, could easily throw some things in the back, easy to park just about anywhere, and be fun to drive when I felt a little spirited. For me it delivers.

I have an M4 that I decided I wanted to keep long term and reduce the miles I put on it. Still have it....

Same with the Hellcat pads. Dust central. The R is on my list of possible next daily drivers when my lease is up. I think I'd have to tune it, but afraid of losing warranty on a VW. Thoughts?

If you could only keep one, would it be the M4 or the R? The M4 was in the running when I got the HC, but lease prices were hundreds more than the HC.

The R's AWD is still FWD biased and front heavy unfortunately. I want to like my bro's R but I still prefer the feel of my 330 in every way. Both cars have some mods to suspension maybe mine's just better setup I dunno.

I think those warranty issues will vary depending on the dealer, what the problem is, and if you have a relationship with the dealer. I'm not too worried about it.

M4, without question...

Don't some dealers warranty with APR tunes? I think I heard that before. I don't have any relationships with VW dealers so I'm SOL

I don’t really have a daily driver since I own 5 vehicles so I rotate driving them on any given day.

Just recently purchased 2012 Chevy Tahoe LS retired Florida (FHP) PPV (Police Pursuit Vehicle package)

How do you like your SN197 stang? Thought about picking one up. How does it compare to your e90?

I like my Stang. Bought it brand new back in 2005 and have owned it ever since. At 15 years and 138000+ miles, this pony still runs great. Haven't had any major mechanical issues with it. Still has the original clutch, water pump, etc., and I've kept it well maintained. The last major service was the 100,000 mile (replaced spark plugs, coolant flush, etc.), but most recently (Nov 2019) I had the front struts and rear shocks replaced. There are some minor things that have succumbed to 15 years of wear and tear. The OEM radio had an internal short and was killing the battery (replaced 2 times) so I replaced it with another (used) and all is fine now. The only other thing I need to have checked is the A/C ventilation. For some reason, the driver side vents are blowing hot air and while the passenger side blows cold air so I will need to take it to my trusted mechanic to have him look at it.

How does it compare to my 335i? The ride is a little less stiff or bumpy since it has 17 inch tires vs 18, but I think it still handles just as good as my 335. As for performance, it has that V8 burst of speed and acceleration. Never street raced a stock or modded SN197 GT Stang, but I think my 335 has the edge stock for stock.
Overall, I like both my Stang and my 335 and never get tired driving either of them.

Merc E350. Does everything well but pretty plain vanilla. M2C reserved for weekends and late night errands.

Just what I wanted to hear, like I said I kind of want an sn197 5 speed (or 6 speed if the right car pops up). Currently driving b8 s4 as my daily because I spent money fixing it's trans. The ultimate understeer machine is what I call it, the extra 100hp it has over my 328i doesn't make up for the engine hanging over the front axles

Currently I'm driving my 2014 435i convertible as my daily.

I'm trying to convince my fiancee to allow me to get another car so I don't have to put so many miles on the car (currently has ~ 14,000) but I'm losing the "why add a car payment to your bills when you already own a car" argument pretty handily so far. Any tips to help me convince her I'm not crazy will be greatly appreciated!

GF just picked up a 2019 TLX A-spec.

FWD and V6. Pretty good performance considering the size and its fwd. The front diff helps out. Everything is geared towards smoothness and comfort, the 9 speed auto is slooow even with the paddles. Favorite part is the V6, it sounds better than my M3 to be honest. I hope she lets me put an intake or exhaust on it lol.
