All Buyers,
Please be carefull when you are about to install the front lip by yourself k.. Remember you need to start from the middle section first then left and right will follow.as for left and right corner, you need to pull a bit to bring each corner to the edge. dont start on left or right first!remember that! I can gurantee that you will not find any difficulties installing the front lip. if you cant then I suggest bring to the nearest bodsyhop thnx |

Yes it has to be done.you can ask around all the hartge buyers. they will need to trim a bit on the black plastic Its not about the fittment. You need to have experience installing the front lip. if you cant then you need to bring to the nearest bodyshop |

felix, its not a "bit" of trimming though, if you want me to trim it, youre asking me to cut half of the black plastic, cause the lip cuts at the middle of the black plastic.
if a trimming a "bit" in your vocabulary means to cut half of it, then can't i just take off the black plastic? i dont want to mess around with original parts, especially if it means of cutting HALF of the black plastic. |

yes you can do tht too..either you cut it or just leave it. all depends on your choice.either way it will look good too FYI: some of my previous buyers bought from me,some of them do their own installation and some of them are not. all depend on you. they do trim the black plastic.its not difficult.but again if you dont have any experience cutting or trimming then I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you to bring to bodyshop. cutting and trimming is different k. On this issue, I say that the trimming is not half, but about 1 - 1.5 cm (about half an inch).

There is DIY for hartge lip installing.
You need to remove the black (chrom for 330i and 335i) mesh rod then put the lip on. and trim the rod (obviously after you remove it from the lower grill) with dremmel, send paper, knife, whatever you want. But I personally recomend Dremmel. and just put the rod "on top" of the lip.

So i did what felix said to do,
i took off the black trims and inserted the lip and then i didnt have a problem putting the lip on in fact, it looks pretty nice to me fitment of the lip seems pretty good besides for the little chip ![]() anyway now i have a new problem i live in ny, and i decided to do what my friend uhaulball does, take down my front license plate however when i took it off, as you can see in the 1st pic, i have these 2 very nasty drill holes anyone can tell me how i can cover it up? and is having no front license plate really a big deal in NY? meaning would i be constantly pulled over by the cops like my gf says? |

Whats the easiest way to screw in the front lip on the bottom? Obviously there arent any premade holes and its hard to fit a drill under the car without a jack. What did some of you guys do, if you did use screws??
