His complaints arent that far fetched. That is one hell of an expensive harness. Maybe the wiring is made of gold and diamonds and made by Jesus himself?

Honestly, 1/2 the people on this forum seem to throw money into the wind. It could be $1000 and people would pay it.

If I had purchased a Procede w/ free upgrades and then was charged for an upgrade I'd be very pissed off. In my opinion it would be the same as BMW saying "we didn't anticipate that we would have so many warranty issues so we need to change the warranty to three years." Any way you look at it this is "Bait and Switch." It is irrelevant whether $150 is a good deal or not. A charge of one cent IS NOT A FREE UPGRADE!

no, i expected to pay for the materials, but not a money making markup which has clearly been added

The way I see it...
This is not just a map or an update. It is an UPGRADE. A whole new set of features like this and the additional amount of HP cannot be considered a simple update, in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I also wish I did not have to pay for it, but consider this a new full version. Just like you have to pay to upgrade from Windows XP to Windows Vista, for example. Regular Windows updates are free, however. Updates and maps have been free, so far.

I really never understood that argument. Just because you can afford something expensive doesn't mean you shouldn't spend wisely on lesser purchases.

Don't mean to push anyone's buttons but it does say UPDATE ,...Not UPGRADE. I see it no different than buying something like operating system software (Win XP) and getting all the updates for free but if you want (Win Vista) you gotta pay for the "UPGRADE". I think that's why it v2 and not v1.5.

EDIT: Just read Cheluto2's post,...my point exactly. Sure it would be nice for free but not realistic.

again upgrades are updates updates are not always upgrades, windows vista is not an upgrade, its classified as a whole new product

v2 is not a new product it is an upgrade and an update of v1

So, spending $150 on an upgrade is spendly unwisely? Perhaps wasting your money on VIDEO GAMES could be seen as unwise? I would take a guess that most people on this board who have bought a procede are seeking more horsepower...but that's just a guess. And seeing the $/per horsepower this upgrade gives, i don't think $150 should be an issue. Stop buying those $5 mochas from starbucks, and you'll be able to afford you games and upgrade in no time!!! =D
