hook directly into your motorola modem. disconnect the linksys.. shut the modem off by removing the power cable and then plug it back in. if you dont do this, the modem will still think the router is in it.


run 2 speed tests

1) speed test with modem - laptop
2) speed test with modem - router - laptop

scenarios

1) speeds improve modem to laptop = router bad
2) no matter what, you're getting under 15/2, call cablevision and request a tech to come out, there might be an issue in ur area with Boost not sending out the right signals

your the man! for some reason the wired lan on my laptop took a shit so i cant use it. id have to hook up the desktop but its still in boxes. im gonna do these test though as soon as i get evrything in order. im sure if you see all is good on your end its either me or my router. are there any know issues of boost not sending correct signals?
