I was watching tv the other night on the speed channel, they had cars doing 4.5. I was like

yea they really can be, esp evos are far better up top...they would be better matched for a 335 on the highway..

lol! Don't even think I want to mod my car to go past 400whp. I'm happy with what I have now. At least I know the engine and tranny can take it. (knock on wood)

I used to be big time into DSMs..I think the fastest car we had was a 99 Eclipse AWD turbo..with a built automatic..

5500rpm converter in it, it was a hybrid built off a GM 9"...straight outta a Grand National...manual shifter ability, and uprated clutchpacks and shift kit..we went 11.20s on that...

and the funny part was it was still a stock engine..nothing but ARP headstuds and a bigger turbo..

we would foot brake it, and it would build like 20psi of boost at the line, and it would actually start to spin the rear tires alittle..then BANG take off like a rocket..if you could shift it up into 2D it would bang your neck like a domestic..
