Fixed some rat damage to my MAF sensor wires, cleaned my MAF sensor and power washed the oil off my under tray from a leak I fixed about a month ago.

Yep. I'm only guessing (I didn't dyno a baseline), but inlets/outlets together must have added ~50whp. Plus you can really hear the turbos spool up, the whooshing, etc.

I think that thing on the bottom goes to some part of your ignition

Tried that demon shine today (OK, technically it was yesterday...) tell you what- it properly exceeded my expectations. For something so easy to apply it did a great job. Cheap as chips too. Anyone else tried it??

After finally fixed my dreaded valve cover leak with a brand new cover and some exhaust sealant, I discovered that my radiator fan has shat the bed. I was driving home from a Doctor's appointment yesterday, and the car overheated in traffic.
Tested everything this morning and it won't respond to 12v. So......I ordered a new $630 335is fan this morning, since I have the PPK2 cooling upgrade. This car is taking all of my money this month....*sigh*

Sunroof switch glitched out for no reason. An error icon was also displayed on the instrument cluster. Luckily "restarting" the sunroof by pressing the button in the vent position for a minute fixed it.

"i" from my 328i badge fell off the trunk and was resting on the bumper stuck filmsly. Now, to go buy some 3m double sided tape to stick it back on. For some reason, I don't like debadged cars.

Basically remove the, stereo head unit fascia, front and rear console, rear seat, drivers side trunk lining and lining on truck lid Once all that's done, remove the trunk release handle (unclip the two wires attached to it and press it out) Replace with camera unit. Run the wires through the trunk lid, past the tail lights and feed them down through the rubber trunk grommet (this is tricky, I had to use some spray on lubricant to get the wires to feed through), run the wires through the truck, under the back seat carpets, along the wiring harness past the hand brake and gear stick, up under the dash and plug the video feed wire into the head unit (I had to use a female to femal RCA connector for the video line). Connect the power wire to a spare fuse in the fuse box and put everything back together. No coding needed.... took about 4 hours all up |
