I figured out my mistake. You must have the cable plugged in! AND update the usb drivers! Or the USB serial port wont show up. that is the one you would be changing the settings on. Once it works, Latency settings WILL show up. As for the usb drivers heres what you do. use those drivers JPhughan mentioned from that web link. whats not important is whats in those files. Pay attention to the usb driver RAR. unzip that to your C drive. IMportant part. so plug your cable in as stated. under device manager find the usb serial connection and right click. click on UPDATE DRIVER. install it manually when prompted, so you can Browse to your C drive. click ok on our C drive and it will try to locate drivers there for the update. This should work. |

Otherwise, you used those files and that method and it crashed your system, just try again. as stated, the reason the cable dont work out of the box is because its for a bmw cable . Does anyone know if my 1 rad module is my radio coding instead of 2urad module? bcan ayone who has factory HI Fi system upload their VO? im attempting to code Top Hi fi to HI fi and i have deleted 677 and added 676 but its not working. for changing VO you have to code twice but i dont have the 2urad module, just the 1rad |

Rectal,
Well that solved my issue with the usb, but now it appears that EDIABAS didn't install properly. When I try to install it I get a message saying there isn't LHZ archive found. I have no idea how to fix this... |

On a 2011 E92 M3 with old headlights but FRM3 (2011 M3 did not receive the LCI headlights like on the regular E92/93): Module: NFRM Welcome light amber led delete: "WL_POL_3R" -> nicht_aktiv For the amber LED w/ headlight "PWM_POL_BEI_AKTIVEN_AL" -> wert_04 [this might be low beam] "PWM_POL_BEI_AKTIVEN_FL" -> wert_04 [this might be high beam] To turn off the amber LED on parking light: "SL_FKT_MIT_POL" -> nicht_aktiv

Coding e90
Old thread, but I'm trying to come up to speed here and there's a lot of info to take in here.
You still around and in Dade County? I'm going to continue reading this post as I'm reading posts from 2010 and there's lots of pages left, but to learn coding, that's the ticket! I'll be better versed on the subject soon. I'm new to the blog and would like to start friending members who are in the same general Bimmer area (3's). I'm in Atlanta and drive an 06 330i (white with (dark) dakota inside) that's still factory everything. Simply one of the greatest cars ever. Ever. |

I've got the Bentley manual. But if you can't do code, you can't work on anything with Idrive. Almost bought the Snap-On scanner. Worthless for Idrive esp when you gotta buy the 'german' upgrade for another $1500. I was in Port St Lucie (St Lucie county) over Memorial day. Looked at some properties. ATL is too cold in Jan! But lots of quiet rides in St Lucie county, who I gonna run with? |

It says it is the correct specs, but there's no guarantee that the cheap sweat-shop Chinese cables are actually going to work as they usually have little or no quality control or testing. Try it if you're willing to risk it. You'll wait 15-20 days to get it from Hong Kong, then another 15-20 days to ship it back if it doesn't work and hope the replacement they send you works, or just pay the little bit extra for a known good working tested and guaranteed cable like the one from One-Stop:
