Changed out my coils (delphi), plugs (ngk 5992 .022), and primary oxygen sensors today due to some lambda codes and misfires. Pretty sure my issues were all related to a bad oxygen sensor, but I changed everything out just in case. Recently had Wedge change my tune over from Cobb to MHD and I finally flashed it today. Car feels as strong as ever and I really like the "quiet cold start" feature of the MHD flash.

You can disable the traction control by holding down the DTC button for about 3-4 seconds. Allows you to get sideways if you want it to and won't stop the back tires from spinning on acceleration... As far as I know, it completely disables the traction control. I pretty much leave mine on DTC most of the time (one push of the button which gives you a light on the dash) unless it is raining. I turn it completely (hold down for 3-4 seconds) if I want to get sideways or know that I don't want traction control to kick in.

There are basically three levels of control:

1. whatever it is at startup (can't do much of anything without the nanny interfering - I never use this mode unless it is raining or need to use cruise control)

2. DTC - push the button once. Give you more control, but still lets you have a little fun

3. Completely off - hold down the button for a few seconds and a different light will turn on in the center of the dash.

Hope this helps,

Greg
I have received 0 interests in the car here and just through local Craigslist. I have lowered it from $32 to $30 K which I thought was reasonably in the ballpark (36K mi, $59K sticker). If I can't get close to $30K, I will keep it and hope for the best. Not sure if the lack of interest is due to unfamiliarity with the "is" version or because it is a 3 pedal manual rather than DCT?
Thanks Greg for your help. I need to take a weekend to figure out all that 'STUFF'. This car has more computing power than my Dell Studio XPS (has the stereo upgrade with a hard drive)!

My buddy is looking for a 6mt BMW. Mostly an xi but depending on how much lower than $30 you would take, he may be interested.

2011 335is for sale

If he is looking for an x drive, this vehicle has a much different character. Greg is letting me know what I need to do to go sideways, which is why you don't buy an x drive. But if he is interested, I cam PM you my contact info.

If/when it comes time to part it out, but I'm going to sit on it a couple months before it comes to that. It will probably be the last item to be parted out though.

Hey there fellow Texan. I drive a black on black 335is with same style Texas plate in Austin. What part of TX are you.

Also, can you tell me where you got your BMW Performance Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler and how much you paid? Thanks!

Thanks guys, yea it's a custom plate. Had a silver '98 323is MT before I bought this CPO from BMW of Dallas in 2012. New I wanted that style of plate then AC/DC Back in Black came on one day and I chuckled at the idea then just went with it lol.

I live in Midland though...out here in the middle of nowhere W. TX haha. Bought the wing a while ago from the dealership out here b/c I didn't feel like dealing w/ a knockoff...was $795 sticker I think at the time? Had a 15% discount on the part...took it to BMW Dallas for the install though and ended up being around 800 I remember. I can't find the part on BMW USA website anymore though, but EAS looks like they have the exact same OEM wing for much less, ~ $550.

If I ever drive through Austin I'll hit you up Matt...the only other IS I know of out here now is a woman w/ a vert. and she doesn't wanna race :/ hahaha. Haven't seen but 1 or 2 other IS's in Dallas either.

Does anyone know if the 335is comes with active steering, standard?

Don't know why but my rack and pinion makes a squeaky sound and kinda pops once when I turn slightly at a stop. Shop told me I have to replace my rack and pinion, car only has 31k miles!

Were the spacers to give clearance on the inside (move the sidewalls away from the suspension) or strictly to put the outside closer to the fender lip. I am thinking about going to the taller tires to correct the speedo error and give a little more cushion to the wheels for our scabrous roads. Already bent 2 19" 313 wheels on a pothole, w/in a week of getting my 2012 E93.

Active steering does not come standard. Did you get a second opinion?
I'm gonna take a look at my steering column and most likely get a 2nd opinion

That's the Sprint Booster drive by wire throttle control...I love it btw! It's the little green light right above my sunglasses (next to the hardwire escort LED alert).
