got to the gym, error code, right angel eyes out. Time to buy a H8 at Walmart and hope to fix tomorrow.

Bought a new beater, pick it up next week. 2006 LS430, FLA car for 8 yrs., inspected it in direct sunlight, found one miniscule ding on the rear left, seems really good for a nearly 11 y.o. car. Couldn't find any evidence of overspray or repairs (unlike the one we looked at Fri. night), and it's a pearl color (no we never learn this is our 3rd). The thing can move, accelerated from a stop onto the parkway. 335i is safe this winter again! Time to put the 1998 Nissan to rest...had a good life.

Ikon motorsports. They're a vendor. Paint was excellent. Fit was decent but the screws underneath arent lined up well. Polypropylene though. Worth the money.

Little 15 minute project - changed the deck lid letters from chrome to black.

Took me longer to clean the sticky tape from the original badging than it did to mark off the letters and install new letters.

Thanks!

Just a tip for anyone looking to do this - might be a good idea to buy some double sided 3M tape from autozone or what ever store you like.

The tape that came with theses particular letters is a little too think for my tastes. I'll likely reapply the letters with a thicker (and better quality) tape in the near future.

Meticulous work to cut the tape to size for the back of the letters, but it'll be worth it in the long run.

Driving high country (berth hound pass and trail ridge road)yesterday. Got pretty decent snow and fog yesterday.

What % tint you have there? I am looking for a decent tint which offers good heat blockade but not so dark.

Thanks for the info. I am leaning ko wards 20% as well. I had 30% on my e46 and I thought it was pretty light. Your car looks awesome btw. Is that m3 spoiler or low kick performance spoiler?

Yeah i had 30% on my black 328 and it was too light for my taste.
I hate to say it but it's a $60 ebay M3 spoiler perfect color match and fitment.
It's a hit or miss with those, got one for my E92 328 (painted) from the same seller and the fitment was WAY off.

Nothing wrong with eBay spoiler. Lol. I had one in e46 from Taiwan, perfect color match. E92 feels a bit bland on the rear so thinking to add a spoiler. M3 type spoiler should be good for my 328 I guess. Just couldn't commit to another turbo car. Have a b7 Audi down with turbo issues right now. Torn apart the engine bay and removed the turbo today.

To this thread: changed a brake light bulb and made a harness for reverse camera add on. Ordered more parts for alarm retrofit. Read a little more on dash cam install. Planning on doing all of it completely reversible. I am done splicing car's harness. Never splicing car harness again.

da** Walmart doesn't carry H8's for the angel eye? I refuse to pay $14 for a $6 bulb, so I have to order online....also working out the insurance for the DD/beater, ordering snows/rims for the beater (the irony is the beater has a higher wholesale than the 335i, but the 335i is still my baby)

That was impressive! I would have no way to torque to 6 or 11 ft. lb. My 3/8" wrench has a range of 5-75, implying it would not be accurate below 15. Not sure if I've ever seen a torque wrench that only goes up to 30, which is what would be needed to get down to 6. Or if there is an in-lb. conversion, or what....

Try a Micro-torque wrench.. Note that the picture is incorrect on the link, the US measurements are in in-lbs, not ft-lbs. I have the N52, and all the bolts are in the 5-10 ft-lb range with 90 degree yield to torque, so it was a no brainer to pick up one of these. Mine also has N-m which makes conversions unnecessary if you have the N-m values.
