EDIT: The brochure. The brochure calls out gear ratios and HP. The HP is listed as 335, not 320, and the gear ratios are different from the 335i according to it as well.

CNET review in 2011 states the gear ratios for the IS run higher in the lower gears, but doesn't say what the ratios are http://www.cnet.com/products/2011-bmw-335is/ Edmunds review shows 1st and 2nd to be slightly higher ratios than the 335i...3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th all being the same with the final drive slightly less of course. http://www.edmunds.com/bmw/3-series/...st-specs1.html The problem I'm having though is I can't get VD to make any sense with any gear ratios...telling me I'm making 500+ HP and 600 TQ?!? I should be making roughly 380 WHP with a stage 1+ right? All other inputs are correct...has anybody had good/accurate results using Virtual Dyno? ...any advice or insight to this is much appreciated. Thanks all.

Another spacer/lowering/tire question...
Hey Guys and Gals,
Question on which size spacers to put in front: Wheels: 8x19 inch model 225M et: 37 (link to wheel info: http://felgenkatalog.auto-treff.com/) Tires: will probably be getting 235 PSS or something similarly as wide Drop: I plan on getting the Supreme Power top hats to lower it by half an inch in the front. Question: with wide 235s and a half inch drop, should I get 10mm, 12mm, or 15mm spacers? There are just too many darn threads to find an exact answer... I have 15mm spacers on the rear right now with 255 runflats and will soon be putting wider 265 or 275 tires on to replace these when they wear out. Let me know if you have any experience with a similar setup. Thanks, Greg |

Im looking to go Cobb as well, but don't want any issues. So you're running stage 1 + FMIC? Is it a big difference from stock? |

Get on a real dynojet if you're really interested on the numbers. Educated guess is 420-440 whp and 475-500wtq judging by your mod list and subtract 25 from each if you're still on stock dp's.

I would opt for the pro tune to make sure your car runs properly and has long term reliability. Jake from PTF (now Motiv) did a great job tuning my car. |

Also, what's the reason you went with a DV over a BOV? What intake? Last edited by JunkyardDogg; 10-03-2015 at 01:23 PM.. |

Would a 235/35/19 PSS work okay for the fronts?

I went with ER charge pipe and Forge DV's as that was what Jake recommended. Stock intake, K&N drop in filter. I've tracked it, never went into limp mode and could easily keep up with new M4's and M3's except for the supercharged V8 M3's. |

Yeah, I'm done modding. The car is very fast, reliable and I want to keep it that way. The only other thing I did was upgrade to the BMW performance suspension because one of my shocks was blown. The suspension was a worthwile upgrade, much better than stock sport suspension.

Will do. Compared to the 330i ZHP this is a rocket ship, honestly. The DCT is great it's so fast and feels like a manual when you throw the shifter into sequential and have sport mode on. I barely even have to use the brakes halve the time because the engine braking is heavy once you downshift. |
