I'm still in the camp of not liking the exterior. It's not as bad as the leaks but it still looks like a mess of squares and rectangles put together, maybe it was built from Lego's?

Call me old but I don't understand where BMW is going with its designs as of late.

Alright so here's my hot take...like anyone gives a shit lol....

This isn't as bad as the leak on the rear. The rear has gone from terrible to ok, this works but I don't "like it". The sides and front are fine.

I want to see it in person. I may stay on the list for a comp/CS

Agreed. If you're buying an M2 for 'appreciation' or if it even crosses your mind you're in it for the wrong reasons. These cars are meant to be driven.

Overall, the BMW M3 and M4 were the biggest drivers of growth last year, according to BMW, even though we’re not being given any exact numbers just yet. “The response to the new generation of the BMW M3 and BMW M4 has been simply overwhelming,” reports Timo Resch, Vice President Customer, Brand and Sales at BMW M GmbH. “We can therefore expect demand for these iconic sports cars to continue on an upward curve in 2022.

https://www.carthrottle.com/post/big...d-sales-again/

BMW M GmbH posted yet another year of record sales, growing by 13.4 per cent to 163,542 units in 2021. The result means M has more than doubled its yearly sales in the space of five years. We haven’t seen a model-by-model breakdown yet, but BMW has said the new G80 M3 and G82 M4 “performed especially well.”

Kind of funny how people complaining so much about the M3/M4 on this very forum and other social media spaces before it was unveiled, then in the end the sales of the car is setting record numbers for the M division.

So true!
And 1/5 people even like the way it looks so there!

Sometimes I quickly scroll to the top of the browser window to do a quick check if I am indeed on a BMW enthusiast forum with posts like this.

I mean there are people who buy M cars to just enjoy having a top of the line BMW without needing to go to track days for the best lap or drag times.

How has the rear gone from "terrible" to "ok", it looks identical to the leak.

Does the price make it "ok"?

I don't know what the price is? Is that already available?

Yes I agree it's identical I think it just looks better in the red color?

The G80/G82 is unique and going to be viewed as a masterpiece in the future. I'm not kidding either, and I hated it originally.

I'll keep mine, grille and all. First leak I saw, I seriously said, "they're not doing that, are they?" But I never hated it. It's a master piece.

I might be in the minority here but I love how BMW is being adventurous with design nowadays.
No one here can predict what the next BMW will look like.

You look at Mercedes and you can't tell the difference between an EQS vs EQE.
It's all so...safe. A little bland?!

I'm sure they're great cars but they're not as exciting.

Same for me. Loved it from the moment I saw it on the concept 4 series.
For years I was dreaming of BMW going back to the vertical grill. The horizontal layout had become stale and predictable.

BTW, I'm absolutely in love with your M4. That color is spot on
