Hey Matt. What kind of air pressure do you run in your rears? Thanks!

I run around 30 psi in rears at track. Haven't experimented with less as I don't have drag radials.

Went to the track for the first time today. Terrible condition, nobody could hook. Weather was 75* and calm.

335xi E92 6AT
Mods: JB4 map 5, 7 gallons E85/6 gallons 93, BMS DCI
Tires: Conti DWS 17" 225 at 32F/28R

Pulled off highway, warm engine and ran a 12.42@111

Best Pass:

60' 1.78
330' 5.17
1/8 7.92 @ 87.9 (oddly my lowest speed)
1/4 12.27@115.0

Backed it up with a 12.32 @ 114.77 on a 1.75 60'.

Overall made 14! passes, with 8 being between 12.49-57. Very consistent. Suprised with the MPH. Didn't know AWD/Auto could trap 115. Worst run of the day was 12.9 @ 110. Spun 1st and hit the limiter.

The event had 30+ M5s, some blown, E90 M3s, some blown, and no one cracked 12's. Except for the AWD coupe. There was a 610 rwhp RWD 996 that ran a 12.21 so he got me for best time of the day

Proof.

I normally run 6-7 gallons E85 and have never run into fuel starvation issues. Car had the HPFP replaced in 2010, I bought the car CPO in 2013 w 50k, and injector #6 was replaced. Walnut blasted a few months ago. Still havent changed the spark plugs, it's on the list though. I honestly can't believe I went 115. Every trap was 111 or higher. Car's a monster!

They r monsters, that's for sure. I have not been to the track yet, had the car for 1.5 yrs and compared to a lot of vehicles in my past, this car is a lot of bang for the buck!

Ran my car today, but i could not get it to stay in 2nd gear… Is there some sort of trick? I brake boosted in M2 gear(2500RPM) was getting 1.94 60ft on 4 passes, but only running 13.03@108.30.. on Alpina flash, with JB4 and DCI.. It kept shifting back down to 1st gear.. Any help would be great? And also shifting around 6200-6300.. But seemed like by the time the car actually shifted it was around 6400-6500..

Will post slips later today!

New personal best. Considering the fuel we have up here in Alaska, I'm stoaked with the results. I even had my camera bag in the back seat lol.

1) 2008 335XI Steptronic with Alpina Flash
2) 233FT @ 65 degrees
3) Mod list is in the sig
4) 90 Octane with 3/4 tank, 50/50 water meth
5) Full interior, daily driver
4) Continental Extreme DWS on VMR staggered 19's
5) 10 years of drag experience, 7 on a 6 speed manual, 3 on the automatic

Things to keep in mind here:
A) This is on the JB4 G5 Map 3, progressive meth
B) PSI is set to 15-16
C) Even though I have RB's installed, I'm not taking advantage of the power yet until I get the backend flash from Wedge or BMS.
D) With a backend (AP3) and tune I would expect a 11.6-11.8 second time trapping over 120mph at 18psi. (The ultimate goal)

You only have 90 octane in Alaska? That sucks. Even though you should be able to do better 60 feet. I do 1.75 with a 335xi JB4/DCI only.

Garage List
1) 2007 E92 335i Steptronic w/Alpina flash
2) Temperature: 78 degrees, Elevation: 702 feet
3) JB4 G5 w/WEDGE flash, RB Turbos, RobC custom map 6 boost settings peaking at 21 PSI, FBO, Walbro in-line LPFP, Quaife LSD, DEFIV lockdown kit
4) 60% E85, 40% 100 Octane Race Gas
5) Full weight daily driver
6) 19" BMW 313 wheels with 255/30 Michelin Pilot Super Sports
7) driver - first time at drag strip

Tires were totally inadequate and there was absolutely no traction to launch. I was still happy that the car was consistently posting mid 11's @123 MPH first time out. Two other runs were almost identical times. With proper tires and some driver launch practice the car should easily post low 11's.

My best 60' is in a 6 speed manual STi, 1.665. Even a 1.7 is hard though, everything has to be perfect to hook.

It's hard in the Auto. I'm brake boosting at 3000rpm. A 1.75 would be nice.

But you guys have AWD... RWD launching sucks. Well maybe my tires do suck but i cant cut under a 2.0. i did a 1.95 first time at the strip and never gotten lower. I only wish i cut a 1.7 i would have been in in 11's or 12 flat.
