you know the vacumm source for your PCV is supposed to be in your inlet manifold. Not intake pipe. the intake pipe isn't under vacuum, it's atmospheric.

We ended up using a vibrant performance Venturi fitting on the exhaust, and plumb the pcv hose into that. This is so we could just suck and burn the vapours in the exhaust. I doubt there's any useful vacuum from the exhaust but it's certainly a nice routing for the hose. No vapours getting into the cabin vs the vent to atmosphere setup which is great.

Mod 105 - New front end parts - continued
Has been a long time coming, but finally spcgry is looking fresh again with a new M3 hood, front bar, fenders and a set of Te37s 18s wrapped in PSS4s ![]() Big call out to Vince who gave up his Sunday to help out ![]() Getting the panels and gaps lined up is a pinta fiddly work, took all day to get everything installed, but was worth it in the end... Ran out time to give it a wash, but was able to snap a few pics before the sun set Finally a few tips for anyone thinking of having a go at this..... ![]() Get a mate to help, much easier with two people, handling the hood and holding stuff in the right position to get things bolted down. Make sure you don't tighten everything down right away, you will need to make fine adjustments to get everything lined up. Be careful not to set the hood to far back when you install it, if you do you risk the corners of the hood digging into your A pillars and scratching the paintwork. Test your indicators before you bolt your fenders down, nothing worse then having to take everything off because you forgot to connect a plug or something ![]() Finally, is not really hard to do, anyone with a socket set and a screw driver can do this. Give it a go and use the money you save on buying more mods ![]() Enjoy ![]() Pics below Pic 1 - Taking everything off including the washer water bottle Pic 2 - One fender installed, always start with the easiest panel first lol Pic 3 - Ok so not looking so good atm Pic 4 - Bonnet on, adjusting it left, right, back and forward took ages Pic 5 - Front bar prepped and ready to install Pic 6 - Front bar on Pic 7 - Last of the panels installed Pic 8 - Transferring the bump stops, hood latches etc from the old hood Pic 9 - Left installing the hood vents to last... its the little details ![]() Pic 10 - Done Last edited by Socket; 01-20-2019 at 06:35 AM.. |

I’ve got a stumpy K&N filter that might work on yours. My turbo sits too high to fit mine but depending on how low set your is, it might be a option
Oh you are in the USA Torgus ![]() Look this up in Ebay K&N Filters RX-4130-1 UNIVERSAL X-STREAM FILTER 3-13/16"FLG 6-13/16"B 6"T Last edited by Socket; 01-21-2019 at 01:51 AM.. |

Sent the car in for some new rear tires today
PS4 265/35/18 The guy on FB who sold me the TE37s, failed to mention the nail in the rear passenger side or the fact they were 80% worn ![]() Ordered them on Friday and arrived at Traction to have them fitted, only to find out they had no record of my call or order Clearly I called the wrong shop and I had no idea which shop it was ![]() No matter, the guys at Traction sorted it out and got them in within a couple of hours Better still there was a mint GTR in the shop at the same time. Sounded great peeling off down the street ![]() 30 min later and the new rubber was on and no more slow leaks..... now to fix the rubbing on the rear guards hahaha ![]() Last edited by Socket; 01-21-2019 at 05:11 AM.. |
