Sure is pretty, my first BMW ('12 X3 35i M Sport) was the same Alpine/Oyster combo... However, I just couldn't justify that kind of coin for a stock E91, rare or not.

A cleaner Montego 6MT with Sport package and 68k miles went for $25,750 back in July and it was a California original owner car. I would suspect this Black one to go for around 19-23k if I was guessing. The Black one is clearly a flip and has some paint damage plus no Sport package.

I could *possibly* go see this in person later this week, if someone is serious and needs me to. It's about 45 minutes away from me.

Does anyone have access to Max Bimmer? I created an account over a month ago and still has not been activated by admins. I'm looking to get some production data on my E91.

I gave up after months of waiting for an account there. I found someone on this forum that is a member there and asked them to post for me. Eventually got my data... Good luck.

Ohhhh LeMans

Off-topic but saw you have your E82 for sale as well. How long did you live with both for? Curious which you liked more in the long term. I regret selling my E82 from time to time although I had both in the garage for a few months, both my E91 and former E82 are N/A 6MT M Sport cars like yours. Not many folks have had that combo!

The E82 has been 3 years and the E91 has been almost 2 years. They both serve a purpose, one is the family hauler and the other was built to be competitive in SCCA Solo in a class ruled by BRZs/86s... I am still on the fence which is why I haven't pushed the E82 that much.... but it seems that I have to make a deal with the devil (sell both) in order to move into something else. Still unsure it's the best decision.

So this thing popped up on craigslist the other day, it looks pretty sweet. Not an E91, but I'm sweating the E61 since we had a kid and the E91 is feeling a tad snug. I'm passing on it since it breaks my "no more AWD BMWs" rule but I thought others here might be interested:

https://knoxville.craigslist.org/cto...219861053.html

Looks like it needs a little bit of loving but its sounds totally drivable despite some deferred maintenance.

That's right - BLUE interior. Haven't seen that color leather in a BMW before.

Not an apples to apples comparison but I appreciate the insight. What are you looking to move on to?

We're going to have to end up replacing our family hauler E91 (pre-LCI automatic) as the kids grow. Trying to avoid SUV land and get either an F10 or Merc E class wagon.

How old are your kids now, if you don't mind me asking? We are about to have our first in January and am wondering at what age is the E91 too small.

I bought our E91 to have a reliable wagon just before ours was born. She's just over 2 years now and the E91 is perfect! An extra adult is fine in the back, two are tight for long trips. The hatch fits a stroller and extra baby stuff just fine and you can get a rack and roof box for extra storage.

Awesome, this is exactly what I was hoping to hear! And I already have a roof box!

Congrats! Echoing what eljay said, you'll be fine with 1.

The car seats are the problem when you have too many kids like us. We have 2 toddlers and an infant and got a pair of Diono seats for the toddlers. The infant seat fits in between, but I think 3 Dionos across may not work since the infant seat base is a couple inches narrower.

The storage is enough to do a grocery run with a stroller in the back. We haven't done much shopping since the pandemic but we've taken both E91s when we've gone to Costco or IKEA and thought space was going to be an issue.

The only reason we'll need a different car is to accommodate 3 of the car seats in the back if that becomes an issue. I don't understand why people think they need a 3 ton SUV to accommodate a couple of kids. FWIW, we had my E82 and my wife had her 318ti when our first baby was born and we lived to tell about it!

Also bought the E91 as a daily family hauler for short trips/daily to work and around town activities 4 Doors. Like what eljay and E91WAG3N the E91 is able to fit a stroller in the bag and if oriented the right way can fit a couple of duffle bags. In rare occasions, we also have a roof box to use if extra storage is needed.

Our daughter is 2.5 years old and plenty of room in the back even with the car seat. The X5M gets driven on the weekend and for farther trips/across states. Overall, the E91 is a very versatile and will suit our needs even if we have a second kid.
