I know you wanted to come up with meeting points...but why not just take the Pali, ask for some recommendations on a spot south to meet; then one on the Pali someplace for those a bit north? JMO

The park is real big, seven lakes goes through the park and is a long road with twists and turns...I assume you wanted to end up at the lake pictured here:
