Hey all hope everybody's New Year is going well. It's been a while since I have posted anything, but I have started autocrossing in September 2015 and I have become somewhat of an addict. Unfortunately events are only held on a monthly basis up here in Canada.
![]() I am driving my pretty much stock 2011 335is, MT only thing I changed is the wheels from the awful RFT to some Michelin PSS. Looking to get some lighter rims, possibly RPF1's and some Bridgestone RE-71R's for the summer season. Cheers Dom |

Can someone verify if this is the best of the best products to get if you are about to switch to MHD?
What else would we need and which specific MHD modules/products would we need? Sorry for being such a noob on MHD but all the different components and modules you need confuses me. What are the total cost associated with making the switch to MHD? Are any of the Samsung Galaxy tabs compatible with MHD flashing? Can I use my Note 4 instead of a tablet? TIA Quote:

Whatever Android device you use it must be OTG compatible. There's apps you can download to check compatibility if you're not sure. Get your cable from here, b i m m e r s o f t w a r e. com. At a minimum you'll need the flashing and logging module and whatever map fits your mods. If your Note works then it will cost around $200. If not, cheap tablets, or even a old android phone that meets the minimum MHD requirements would only add $50-100 on top of that.

Do any of the off-the-shelf maps have improvements for DCT or does that require a custom tune from BQ?
I run my JB4 on map 5 all the time... Quote:

If you read the owners manual, the pressures on the sticker on the door post are for speeds not exceeding 100mph. If you want to go faster, you run higher pressures. I also reasoned that higher pressures will offer slightly more protection to the rims (I bent 2 hitting a pothole w/ less than the door post pressures). The tires are not run flats. I am not all the way to 50psi o the rear, just a couple of pounds above the sticker numbers.

I'm not sure other than there's a option tab for DCT for the OTS maps. I've only run custom maps on Cobb and now MHD. I can highly recommend BQ tunes for our cars with DCT's. My JB4/E85 flash wasn't even close to what my custom tune offers although I know Terry has updated a lot of his back-end flashes now.

the mhd off the shelf maps have a dct option for you to select during the flash process. the flash allows the dct to see the increased boost/torque i believe, and increases trans line pressure to avoid slippage.

Anyone with an E93 running a spoiler? As much as I'd love to run through 200 pages to find out... :P

I got my new 265/30/19 PSS's installed today. I have 15mm spacers and I'm getting a fair amount of rubbing. Don't know yet if it is rubbing on the plastic or on the metal. I guess when I posed my question the first time, I didn't ask if anyone had issues with 15mm spacers and 265 PSS's.
It looks really mean now though. I wish I could keep it like this for the looks! I have 10mm spacers on the front, so I'll be swapping them to the rear this evening when I get home unless there have been lots of issues with rubbing on 265's with 10mm spacers. Anyone experience rubbing with 265/30/19 PSSs and 10mm on stock sized wheels? I guess I'm asking so that I don't waste the time putting on the 10MM spacers if they are going to rub. Thanks, Greg Quote:

I never had any rubbing with the 255 P Zero RFTs and the 15mm spacers even with two people in the back seat.
I think I could have kept the 15mm spacers if I could pull the fender liner up a little bit. Anyone ever tied back the fender liner on the rear? I swapped the spacers and moved the 10mm to the rear and the 15mm to the front. Seems to be okay now. We'll see how the front does once I get wider tires. I still have the 225 P Zero run flats but will get 235 PSSs on when these are bald. |

Hello all!
I acquired a beautiful 2012 BSM 335is with DCT about a month ago. I've enjoyed the car so far. I have a few questions though. I've noticed on two different occasions that the rpm indication will drop to almost zero while braking to a stop. The car doesn't feel like it's about to stall or doesn't shake. It just drops to almost zero and comes back to the usual idle RPM. The other thing I noticed today was while on manual mode (can't remember if I had sport activated or not, I think I did) was the RPM would bump up maybe 100-200 rpm or so while up shifting. I had about 50% throttle, shifting at 2000rpm. Didn't feel any lurch or power loss, just noticed the slight jump in RPM. Has anyone else seen this? Going out of town tomorrow, otherwise I'd make an appointment with the dealership. The other issue, but I blame the cold weather, is the increased battery discharge message. It only occurs during cold temps. These last few days, the temp has been above 50F, and it hasn't appeared. |

I think stock looks better. Gloss black carbon fiber version looks good if you want to change it up. Maybe you could even just wrap the stock diffuser.
