This went sideways in a hurry
But since mostly guys are intrigued by this car, I'd be super cautious about accepting random blowjobs without double-checking under the hood.

Unwanted attention can sound fun in theory, but it gets old quick. I've had people hang out their window going down the interstate taking pics of my GT500, and then the Harley V-Rod in its first year of production was off the chart.
Now with the G42 I keep getting people say, "I love your M2!" I reply, "It's not a M2, but thanks." They reply, "What is it, then?" I reply, "It's the car the M2 owners make fun of, until they get spanked leaving the light." |

I get thumbs up while driving all of the time. When I go to car shows, the car gets swarmed and people geek out over the interior (carbon buckets of course). The car gets a ton of attention, even with exotics around.

How soon until the attention wears off? It'll eventually not be the new kid on the block. I think a year.

I've got over 6K miles on my M2. Been up to the mountains twice for a total of 18 days.
The color (ZB) gets a lot of attention with some even asking what the name of the color is (and asking if it is Carolina Blue), others just say they really like the color. Then there are the people that know it is the new M2, lots of thumbs up and lots of photos/videos. Finally, is the group that has looked into getting one and know all about it. Lots of questions (how are where did you get it, do you like it, and did you pay msrp). It's cool and I get it. More attention than my '75 2002 and that is saying something. I'm nice to everyone and just figure it comes with the territory. |

I would think the new M2 would get more attention in the company of exotics simply because the M2 is much more attainable by the masses than the exotics.
I'll likely never be able to 'easily' afford a Ferrari, 911 Turbo S, Lamborghini, etc., and as such I'd likely never walk up to an owner to talk about his car. The M2 would be in reach if that's the car I wanted, and I wouldn't hesitate to talk to the owner. Does this mean I think the M2 is more interesting than a 911 Turbo S? |

I’ve had mine since early May in ZB. It gets attention everywhere - lots of people ask what it is not recognizing the 50th anniversary badge.
I have seen a couple people video my car while I’m passing them. Not sure if it was a dig or a complement, but a guy at Buc’ees told me that his wife liked the color of my car a lot. I don’t mind any of the above attention, I’m indifferent to it. However I have had one instance of attention I did not appreciate whatsoever - I had a guy in a diesel truck pulled up next to me in the passing lane and boxed me in the right lane. He lined his tail pipe up perfectly and then proceeded to “roll coal” or whatever it’s called. This continued about a 1/4 mile across a Dam just dumping black smoke all over my car! Once the road opened up to three lanes I was able to safely maneuver and pass the truck. It must’ve pissed him off that I ruined his redneck fun so the truck began to chasing me, riding my ass and flashing his lights at me. So I took off and he started making dangerous and aggressive lane changes. Luckily the highway split and we went opposite directions. It was completely uncalled for. |

As I drove home from picking up my M2, my Sales Rep sent me this photo that was captured by one of his customers who noticed the car and asked my sales rep if he just delivered it.
