I've driven the Cobb Stg1 map but I haven't really quantified how "aggressively" it is mapped. I do know that our OTS maps have a noticeably different boost and throttle control behavior based upon my experience with the Cobb OTS maps. It's similar to what you feel with the Procede as joec500 mentioned. Beyond that, you may just have to wait until others compare the two tunes in their own car.

This appears a bit more powerful up top than the Cobb Stage I Aggressive MAP. My results from stock to Cobb Stage I Aggressive:
+105 ft./lbs. torque
+65 HP
Completely stock hardware.

Hopefully I'll have one before I get there. Installing my Aquamist HFS4 this weekend. Hopefully I can put together a really nice aggressive Stage II. My new ER CP is MIA. Jeff said it won't ship now until early next week. Doesn't leave me much time. Was hoping to drive down on Friday next week.

I can't speak in terms of power as I never dyno'd the Cobb maps, but in terms of drivability I much prefer the OpenFlash OTS maps as the throttle is much more predictable, i.e. no boost oscillations and weird throttle delays. Also, the last time I used the Cobb was a year ago so it's quite possible they have made improvements since then on their OTS maps.

Yep. But it's only 18psi right around 4200rpm. Just to give it a nice midrange torque bubble. Below and above that, boost is substantially lower. I have some AFR and Boost logs taken from a Mustang Dyno which I can post up later.

I don;t know what the timing looks like on this one, but the boost is the same as COBB stage 2+ agg.

The gain is very decent for a non modified car with only DCIs. of course we would like to see datalogs after multiple back to back runs to see how the car likes it and all.

Good review!

hi guys,
Here are the AFR and Boost logs of our Vishnu Stg1 OTS vs stock tune. This was taken on a Mustang Dyno. The car only had DCIs.

Red is boost. Black is AFR
Solid lines are Vishnu Stg 1 OTS
Dotted lines are stock tune

Needless to say, the boost curve is pretty conservative. Only 14psi at peak hp and 18psi (momentarily) at peak torque.

Wow OE boost curve takes its sweet time richening up. That looks very strong for a stg1 map Shiv, nice.

I like how the boost approaches 18psi and doesn't overshoot. That's nice.

Nice work Shiv. I'm happy you're stepping up to the plate and putting some solid OTS maps together for this product. As much shit as everyone gives you

It will be interesting once the new units ship if PTF or BMS does the same...

Will there be more conservative OTS tunes that keep max boost lower than 18psig?

We just tested our Stage 0 OTS map in a bone stock 2010 6at today (walker16's car). It runs a peak of 17psi with less boost up top as well. Good for those who just want a more conservative tune or who are cursed with low quality gasoline or terrible ambient conditions. I'll post dynos shortly.

Honestly I dont expect much support from BMS or PTF if any at all. Theyve already made clear their disdain for this project.

Hopefully Im wrong.

Which is too bad... I can see PTF not doing anything until they can lock the maps they create. But if Terry doesn't step up it will only hurt his JB sales. COBB is not the answer for back end flashing. Too much $$$
