Yeah..but doesn't the PPK sticker add weight...and actually make the car slower??
Getting walnut blasting - I know the Dealership and the guys in Fyshwick can both do it. I remember getting a quote of around $700 last year. Didn't get it done. p.s. welcome to another rare Canberran! |

It also looks good in the pics, the body and wrap are OK, but nowhere near perfect, mechanically it's good, but needs a visual tidy up to be a really good example, haven't decided on price but it'll be mid-high teens as a starting point. 157,000k's, but I did discover it had been tracked before I bought it, which resulted in some of the repairs I've had to do... Been a good car though, just wanted something a little more modern that I could make go harder a little easier, I was looking at Supercharger kits for this one, but decided I'd rather go the 335i route, I'm getting old |

Good luck with the build she's sure a blank canvas you dont realise how many mods you can perform on these things until you start spending time on these forums
It's certainly rare to get a manual here in Australia, have fun with it! I had that battery error warning on my car after I had got it home also, I bought a bosch S5 and had the battery coded to suit (google bmw battery registering) |

Its Mine
Picked up the Car on Sunday, drove it 350km back home
Really nice drive, car performed perfectly, will post some more pictures soon, but here's a couple Note my good friend who gave me a lift me to pick the car up and then helped me wash it when we got back....we did wash his car as well, they were both covered in bugs 1st Pic just after I picked it up 2nd Pic my mate washing the car for me 3rd Pic the K+DCAN cable that arrived during the week Oh and the piano black grills arrived today, but I only got the bit of paper from the delivery guy so I have to organise to go and get them... P.S. What does waste gate rattle sound like, and when would I hear it? |

Congrats on the purchase mate she looks very clean
Wastegate rattle is at its worst on a cold start, and is amplified when you install catless downpipes (On a stock car it isn't as noticeable) |

I also haven't seen the battery warning light, how will I know if I need to replace the Battery, one of the guys noticed the warning light in one of the Carsales pics I posted at the start of the thread... Anyway, car runs nice, hot and cold, no signs of any rough idling or rough running at all, seems slightly anaemic up high in the rev range to me, hopefully the MHD tunes will fix that... |

Wastegate rattle is that loud clatter you hear when I decelerate off the Hume to Goulburn maccas on my way to sydney evry fortnight.
Downpipes definitely make it worse. Mhd does help, but it's a balance between lag and less rattle haha. |

Yep would have the stage 1 MHD flash in it this morning if my Google play store account would work
Will have to try and fix that today Piano black grills are here also, just have to wait for the courier to deliver them again on Friday, so they'll go on this weekend |

I think i remember reading a 'safety' feature from play that would not let you purchase multiple high cost apps on the same day... I think you may have to space out each purchase by 24h... or something like that.

So after having 3 attempts that wouldn't write the ECU and managing to brick the car the MHD stage 1 map (98) is now installed
I chose the linear throttle, some exhaust burble and set the WG Rattle to about half way along the slide Holy snapping duckshite Batman, the car is completely different, and I mean in a really really good way. It's raining here in Canberra, so no WOT for me on the test drive, noting that it was also raining on my way home tonight and the TC only kicked in a couple of times, and I was pretty close to WOT to get that to happen. After the tune, even gradually applying the throttle, no way Jose, car sliding all over the place, can't wait for a dry road to really get a good feel for it Props to Wedge Performance and MHD, I'll be doing some logging this weekend to upload and have them check it for me |
