That is what I was curious about at first there was a significant surge around 4k RPM the 3rd day not even close to the same? launching from a stop the wheels hardly spun?
I completely turn off the traction control before any hard runs so that was not the issue?
Anyways was just looking for constructive feedback or suggestions as to what may have caused the difference on day 3?

Guys, check out the post history (and join date) of Alabama_Man and also check out the post history of Xeloj who just got exposed as a liar and fraud in other threads. Notice any resemblances? Same types of comments, same types of insults. Ony purpose of being here is to cause trouble and dump on 335s and insult their owners.

I had the same experience with TurboTuner. Sometimes it felt like it pulled hard, and other times it felt like it "turned off" or something. Couldn't quite figure it out, since on some hot days it felt strong, and some cold days it felt like I lost power...

You can try resetting the ECU by disconnecting the battery for like 30 minutes and see if you get the power back. But my experience has been inconsistent power. BUT I still liked it a lot for ease of install and removal.

Interesting, I thought I was crazy but there seems to be a difference. I will disconnect the battery and see what happens.
Thanks.

Dude, you are obviously trying to get a rise out of people on here. I owned an '03 996tt and an '07 Z06 and now own a 335 so I know a little something about HP. To make a statement like you made above is one of the dumbest I've heard on ANY car forum. Yes, the M5, like my former Z06, is faster than the 335 with a tune but you are on crack to say that it is slow and feels like a 4 cylinder. Don't come on here espousing outright lies, it makes you look like a complete imbecile.

Alabama girl! Please! First of all the M5 only runs mid to high 12's! If you have the money for both pay the $600 for the SSTT and drop in k&n and you can run 12.76 @ 110 ! Same as your 90k m5! I did it on 19 inch wheels and tires as well! Gimme a break Alabama *** you are nothing but a troll! I will be at thunderhill 1st weekend of March but I noticed you mentioned you don't actually race your just a keyboard hero!

yea i have heard this before. it can be the sudden rush of power being different or maybe the little leaner condition of the SSTT not being fully adapted.
but take traction all off, go about 15 mph and than hit it. the power is smooth but dont be fooled u got a good increase in power, the curve it stock like and smooth. nothing to be worried about.

I had the SSTT on my car and felt the same thing....fast at initial install..but then actually felt slightly slower than stock for a period of time..then fast again..it was definitely weird. People have said to disconnect the battery for a period of time and then re-attach it...I have not tried that. What seems to be working for me right now is that I went the dealership and got my fuel pump replaced..they said it was running at 4.7 when it should be 5.0 or better..I dont know the unit of measure. Any, my car feels real strong now. I am just testing out this SSTT right now.

a tuned 335 should be about equal or slightly faster than an m5- with more torque to boot... And think, you will save $900 per month in lease payments over that Alabama Douche

Vs E39 you can easily make that claim but vs a E60 M5, you will need a few more mods to keep up with them especially once you go over 120 mph.

I didn't lease my car. I purchase all my vehicles.

And no, you are stupid. A 335i is about as fast as a 2001 Camaro but not a 2008 M5.

Alabama girl, you didn't respond to my post. I also find it funny seeing the trash you talked about the 01 camaro. I have an 01 T2 Firebird (read stock with rollcage) I will have that car at thunderhill March 8th and Infineon 1st weekend of April. I would be more than happy to entertain a handling match with your far supremo M5 as you continue to post and tell everyone!

Enough feeding the troll...starve it and it will die...

OP - The SSTT leaves all of the ECU's functions in tact. Perhaps the car is reacting to something unrelated to the SSTT (like gas quality), and maybe you have a faulty SSTT...Here's what I would do. Take the SSTT out and see how the car feels for a day or two. Then reinstall it. Once it is back in, drive around doing a bunch of (safe) WOT runs to let the ECU adapt properly. Then let us know what's happening.

Best of luck!

We could all get a car out of our garage to one up the other person, I don't see the point. My C7 Z06 would walk your T2 Firebird into the garbage can. It's really a pointless argument.
