OK guys it would be ~ $175 per car to cover 6 cars for the vinyl delivered to Australia.
That's being extremely conservative we would have 4-5 metres left over, so we could have someone like kent buy the leftovers for his trim or possibly even do another roof which would make it slightly cheaper for us guys. |

That's ok. These rolls are 5 feet wide, so around 1.5m, meaning I would only need less than a metre, judging by Shane's template. Thanks for that Vince! |

In, All good man, we need to cruise soon badly! I just spotted a whole heap of modified 1ers on Pacific Hwy (some were quite heavily modified) and I joined in on the cruise for a little bit. It was pretty damn fun hearing all the exhausts popping and crackling, along with the turbos spooling up |

After a bit of looking around, there are two main products from VViViD worth looking at.
The first one is the regular VViViD8 Carbon film, the second is the XPO Carbon film. XPO is "The most paint-like finish on the market. The highest refraction and shine..." Tech Art is just the finish variation. Both films have Tech Art finish, which just means high gloss. Semi-gloss would be True R, matte would be Sandblast. http://vvividshop.com/products/xpo-carbon-films http://vvividshop.com/products/xpo-carbon-films What we want, to make very specific on an order is XPO Tech Art carbon black. XPO is more expensive in small volumes, but once you go over 20 foot rolls, it doesn't seem to matter what type, finish or colour you choose between the two as the price is the same. I.m not sure how you're getting 4-5 metres left over Shane! Each cars roof is 60 inches (1.53cm) long. To be safe, let's call it 2 metres. I only need one metre, so total of six cars plus my interior is 13 metres (~43 feet). The rolls come in 50 feet, so you could could have 1 extra foot each to be safe, or make it 7 car roofs, with 2 metres per person. I wouldn't suggest this. Better to have more than to not have enough, even though the roof is only 1.53cm long, you need the extra edges for pulling and in case you don't put it dead straight. Which takes us to pricing. It's 700 USD per 50ft roll. Going by Shane's recollection of $85 shipping (let's call it $100) that's 800 USD. Going by XE, that's 1030 AUD. Banks/PayPal won't get that rate, so let's call it 1100 Divide by 6.5 roughly equals 6 lots of $170 and 1 lot of $85 Divide by 7.5 roughly equals 7 lots of $150 and 1 lot of $75 Would rather extra room to manoeuvre the vinly than save $20. |

so in total its $176 AUD approx for 6 guys with plenty of wrap left over, room for error due to my rough calcs. 50 foot is 15 metres, so lets say 2 metres per car that leaves 3 metres left over You can actually get a 55ft roll which is what i was going to get! |

hahah I said this too. That three metres minus one metre for me leaves another two metres for a 7th person, but might be cutting it a bit short.. literally/pun unintended |

I have seen the 3D effect wrap before and have some samples but in real life it did not look good. This VViviD product does look better, at least the claims are good. Though if we are buying so much probably wouldn't hurt to get a small sample express posted. You can usually get samples for free.

I'd definitely be in on the interior wrap though undecided whether the matt or 3D finish is better for the interior.
I think gloss is probably better for the outside. Could do side mirrors as well as a few other bits. What do people think about doing the roof of an E91 msport in sapphire black with panoramic sunroof? |

IMO a matte finish would be easier to keep clean albeit ultimately wouldn't look as good! The roof wrap on a black wagon with a pano roof would be a subtle touch, and personally I love the E91 shape. I'm sure you've seen this E91: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=857847 He needed a cf roof wrap!!! |

Shane, I asked VViViD for a discount because they had a Fathers Day promo that exluded the XPO and they said yes. Waiting for reply. Also asked a seller on ebay listing 700, postage only 100. They sent me a link to make an offer. Will wait for VViViD to give me an official price.

I was going to because another friend wanted to wrap his whole car so buying another 50ft roll might give us leverage. Then I realised I fly out on Monday
